কয়েকজন মিলে চার ছাত্রকে মারধর করছিল। পাশ থেকে আরেকজন বলছিল, 'ওদের মারতে মারতে মেরে ফেল'। বৃহস্পতিবার সন্ধ্যায় বারিধারা ডিওএইচএস পার্কে স্কলাসটিকা স্কুল অ্যান্ড কলেজের এ-লেভেলপড়ুয়া চার ছাত্রকে এভাবে বেধড়ক মারধর করা হলেও এ ঘটনায় এখনো আইনি ব্যবস্থা নিতে পারেননি তাদের অভিভাবকরা। মামলা না করতে তাদের বিভিন্নভাবে চাপ প্রয়োগ করা হচ্ছে বলে অভিযোগ পাওয়া গেছে। পুলিশও চাচ্ছে না বিষয়টি নিয়ে মামলা মোকদ্দমা হোক। তবে ক্যান্টনমেন্ট থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা সালাউদ্দিন আহমেদ গতকাল সন্ধ্যায় জানিয়েছেন, ছাত্রদের অভিভাবকরা থানায় না আসায় মামলা হয়নি। এদিকে এ-লেভেলপড়ুয়া চার ছাত্রকে খুঁটির সঙ্গে দড়ি দিয়ে বেঁধে মারধরের ঘটনাটি প্রকাশ হওয়ার পর সর্বমহলে এ নিয়ে ব্যাপক প্রতিক্রিয়ার সৃষ্টি হয়েছে। বিচারের নামে বারিধারা ডিওএইচএস পরিষদের প্রহসনের আশ্রয় নেওয়ায় ক্ষুব্ধ হয়েছেন অভিভাবক মহল। তারা দোষীদের বিচার দাবি করেছেন। বারিধারা ডিওএইচএসের বাসিন্দারাও ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করেছেন।

প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা জানিয়েছেন, পুলিশ বা অভিভাবকরা ঘটনাস্থলে ছুটে না এলে হয়তো এই চার ছাত্রকেও আমিনবাজারের ছয় ছাত্রের ভাগ্য বরণ করতে হতো।

বৃহস্পতিবার সন্ধ্যায় বারিধারা ডিওএইচএস পার্কে উল্টোপথে হাঁটার অভিযোগে স্কলাসটিকা স্কুল অ্যান্ড কলেজের এ-লেভেলপড়ুয়া চার ছাত্র মুশফিকুর রহমান, তাসবীর ইসলাম, পৃথু আমিন ও ফাহাদ হোসাইনকে মারধর করেন অবসরপ্রাপ্ত তিন সেনা কর্মকর্তা ও এক সার্জেন্ট। তাদের চোর হিসেবে পুলিশে দেওয়ার চেষ্টাও করা হয়। ওই চার ছাত্রের অভিভাবকরা অভিযোগ করেন, ডিওএইচএস পরিষদ শুক্রবার বিষয়টি মীমাংসার জন্য বৈঠক করে। কিন্তু অভিযুক্ত চারজনের দুজনই বৈঠকে আসেননি। এ ব্যাপারে অভিভাবকরা আইনি ব্যবস্থা নেবেন। জানতে চাইলে ক্যান্টনমেন্ট থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওস&#2495 মো. সালাউদ্দিন বলেন, বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে খবর পেয়ে পুলিশ সেখানে যায়। সাবেক সেনা কর্মকর্তারা ওই ছেলেদের চড় মারার কথা স্বীকার করেন। তবে ওই ঘটনার বিষয়ে কেউ লিখিত অভিযোগ করেননি। ঘটনার পরদিন শুক্রবার সকাল সোয়া ১০টায় ওই ঘটনা নিয়ে ডিওএইচএসের পরিষদ কার্যালয়ে সালিস বৈঠক করেন পরিষদের কর্মকর্তারা। সেখানে ওই চার ছাত্র, তাদের অভিভাবক ছাড়াও পরিষদের সভাপতি, কর্মকর্তা, মারধরকারী সাবেক তিন কর্মকর্তার দুজন উপস্থিত ছিলেন। আবদুস ছালাম অনুপস্থিত ছিলেন।

বৈঠকে ঘটনার বর্ণনা দিতে গিয়ে ওই কিশোররা ও তাদের বাবা-মারা কান্নায় ভেঙে পড়েন। তারা মারধরকারী আজিজুল আশরাফ ও জাকির হোসেনকে দেখিয়ে পরিষদের কাছে তাদের শাস্তি দাবি করেন।

অভিভাবকরা জানিয়েছেন, আজিজুল আশরাফকে দায়িত্ব থেকে অব্যাহতি দেওয়া হয়েছে। নিরাপত্তা কর্মীদের মধ্যে যারা জড়িত, তাদের বিরুদ্ধে ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে বলে জানালেও এখনো তা নেওয়া হয়নি। জাকির হোসেনের বিরুদ্ধে কেন ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হয়নি বা অন্য দুজনের বৈঠকে অনুপস্থিতির বিষয়ে তারা জানতে চাইলেও উত্তর পাননি। বৈঠকের পর তাসবীরের বাবা কামরুল ইসলাম জানান, থানায় মামলা না করার জন্য পরিষদ অনুরোধ করেছিল। তাদের আশ্বাসের পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে তারা বৈঠকে বসেন। কিন্তু এ বৈঠকে তারা সন্তুষ্ট হননি। কারণ সব দোষীর শাস্তি হয়নি। তাই এ ব্যাপারে তারা আইনের আশ্রয় নেবেন।

In what law they threaten the to death by beating ? govt should investigate the incident and punish those ex officers . without punishment if this kind of incident continued then the rule of law would not exist in country . @ Well done ! Now-a-days the young boys are addicted two much. They hardly bothered about their gurdian. But the way it is reported it is not true. Now-a-days thoses areas has became a crime zone. Some times my son also goes in that area but I cannot stop him. Good !!!!!!!!

Retired army officer held for Chennai boy's killing



Chennai: A week after a 13-year-old boy was killed in a military residential campus here, a 50-year-old retired army officer was arrested on Sunday for the crime after he confessed that he was irritated by the boy's trespassing, police said.

Lt. Col. (retd) K. Ramaraj shot K. Dilshan from the balcony of his residence on July 3 afternoon when the boy and his friends trespassed into the residential campus to pluck almonds. Dilshan was fatally wounded and succumbed to his injuries in a hospital.

'The Tamil Nadu Police is proud to say that a breakthrough has been achieved in the case with arrest of Ramaraj,' Additional Director General of Police R. Sekar told reporters.

Ramaraj, who has three sons serving in the army, will be produced before a local court here Sunday.

'The initial suspicion was on somebody else. But the CB-CID (Crime Branch-Criminal Investigation Department) team ruled out that person and zeroed on Ramaraj,' Sekar said.

He said the physical verification, forensic tests, ballistic test reports and views of weapon experts led to the detention of Ramaraj.

According to Sekar, the accused, who retired from service three months ago, had acquired a 0.30 calibre Springfield rifle in 2004 when he was posted in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

'The licence had expired and he had applied for this at a police station here which we came to know of during our investigation,' Sekar said.

The army officers here were not aware that Ramaraj was in possession of a rifle, he added.

According to the CB-CID, extensive searches were carried out at the place of shooting and a bullet component was recovered and sent for ballistic tests to ascertain the type of weapon used.

Initially it was thought that three boys, including Dilshan, had entered the campus. But the investigation established the presence of a fourth boy, who gave information about the probable involvement of Ramaraj in the shooting.

Twelve probe teams were constituted to crack the case.

'On being interrogated, Ramaraj denied having committed the offence. When he was shown the gun licence submitted for renewal, he confessed,' Sekar said.

Ramaraj confessed that he had thrown the rifle and the bullets into the Cooum river here. The police recovered the rifle from the river while the bullets were still to be found.

Sekar said the car used by Ramaraj for shielding the weapon was also seized.

According to CB-CID officials, Ramaraj has been living with his wife here for the past two-and-a-half years.

'It was a very challenging case to crack. We feel happy that it has been cracked finally,' Deputy Superintendent of Police Sonal V. Misra said.

How can you so sure they addicted ? they were beaten as they were walking wrong way in dohs baridhara park . more importantly if they were caught doing any thing wrong they shpuld handed over to their guardian . who gave them the right to punish those kid ?
