+1 to that. Even I wonder if Pakistan is short of 'professionally trained Diplomats' considering that so many ex-Faujis and foreign Passport Holders have to be appointed as Ambassadors.

Of course; there is always that question: is the Foreign Policy of Pakistan decided/formulated in the Foreign Office in Islamabad, or in the GHQ in Rawalpindi? :)

PA runs Pakistan's foreign policy - specially for US, India and China.

PA is adamant on running Indian policy and there's no two ways about it.

I think thats where India is way successful in it's strong foreign policy matters over it's neigbours,Even with it's rigid beurocracy..Govts in Pakistan and Sri Lanka appoints non career diplomats over professionals..Most times those beneficiaries of the ruling regimes..due to political reasons..Often at the detriment to thier national interests

^^ Probably the reason why their foreign policy is such a failure . Instead of diplomats you send a general.

Exactly..If you look at foreign relations of both countries..They're utter failures

That failure of Foreign Policy has been seen again and again. It was clearly visible in 1999 during the Kargil Disaster. Even in Afghanistan, the FP built on historically absurd notions of Strategic Depth is coming unravelled slowly and steadily.

No one get the point here. this is a calculated move by pakistan. Normally countries appoint ex army men as ambassodors when there is an importance relating to defence. I dont think GOI is looking at this with smiling eyes.

Ontopic : Not only in foreign relations ,army involves in most of the internal affairs directly or indirectly . That had made a great loss to Pakistan .
