That's what Germany and previously GB was needed for.The dependence is mutual.
EU can't make trash buckets, shoes, and apparel, but we can't make good high speed bearings for example. Our machining tools, and consumables are low-end only. We have a guy on PDF who works for a cemented carbide manufacturer from GZ. Ask him. And I am not even talking about things like semiconductor manufacturing.
If China will embargo stuff to EU, it will be a happy day in Bangladesh, and Vietnam. But if it will be the other way around, it will not be so.
China provides value but one needs to know how China works.
I prefer Chinese equipment unless it is a critical failure point source.
But then again all this upheaval in China is not conducive , one cannot even enter China or even HK now is so severely restricted that Chinese suppliers are using it to play games.
Everyone I know including myself have to now look at other options. In the end all this hurts business...
