How did they get Britain to sign the balfour declaration, the history of that is a topic worthy of discussion but now is not the time for it.

The important thing is, that we have most of our trade with EU, even after buying S-400s and getting kicked out of F-35 program we went right back to ask for F-16 Block 70

We clearly aren't going to leave the western camp. We've been a member of NATO since 1952, since then right and left wing governments came and went, constitution got changed many times and we didn't even attempt to leave NATO in 70 years of membership. We're clearly not going anywhere so the only logical choice is to make our position as strong as possible within NATO. We need to be the most respected and influential member that we can possibly be.

Improve relations with everyone. Organize the Turks living in Europe into a powerful diaspora, etc.

We should take some lessons from Russian propaganda, they really worked hard on RT and Sputnik and many other things.

NATO will not be dismantled in our lifetimes, it will grow instead.

Ukraine war changed everything. The idea of an EU independent of USA has died on the outskirts of Kiev. Merkel is gone, things have changed.

Apparently EU leaders are thinking to be independent from USA especially AFTER Ukraine war.

This has to do with defense industries too. US do not just has NATO, it has several alliances and it can play according to its own needs, making other territories vulnerable. US has alliances like Quad and AUKUS etc. It took away French submarine deal with Australia, so french are realizing that US is just playing its own game, its best interest in EU to devise its own defense strategy.

It would interest me if other Members see the EU mutual Defence Clause as an possible Threat for Turkey and it's Interests in the Aegean, eastern Mediterran and North Africa. This Clause mean there is a theoretic Possibility, EU Battlegroups can be involved in any future Conflict between Greece and Turkey, Cyprus also Libya br possible.


On the other Side which measures can be taken by Turkey to strengthen it's Detterent against any Intervention by EU Battlegroups ?

There is no such thing as improve our position in NATO and Europe as long we dont cancel TRNC, remove our forces and military bases in North Iraq, North Syria, cut support to Azerbaijan. Stop millitary operations against pkk/ypg End the dispute in mediteraen sea with Greece (accept their fake borders on sea) Cancel mavi vatan, cancel S400, hold all projects of Turkish defence industry, stop the project of Nuclear powerplant. Cancel Canal Istanbul End all ties with Russia etc.

This is what EU, US and NATO demands from the Turkish government.
