Ertugrul and Pakistanis Identity Crisis

I am a libtard but 100% love. The series will accculturize Pakistani's to Turkish history and nation. This is great news as this will replace the alternative Arab/Indian infatuation. Since Turkey evolved to a secular, liberal country I think this will prime Pakistani's to evolve on the path Turks did.

Idk if you're a libtard. You have to be a Pakistan hater hiding as a Liberal to be a libtard in my book.

I'm not sure if your a classic liberal or not, but im pretty sure you don't hate Pakistan.

Also I disagree with your idea that it will set our people upon a path. People keep under estimating Pakistanis just because we're open to cultural influences. The Englishman eats Indian, Italian and Chinese and is yep pretty much English. The Pakistani eats shawarma and is a accused of becoming Al-Bakistani.

This is all nonsense originating from those who wish to influence Pakistan to thier preferred past. Al Bakistani is a preferred slur of the NFP types who would like all of us to applaud his desire to spend most of the day half cut.

Similarly the puritanical bigots will accuse our people of being Indian lovers because they still practise wedding rasams which align with Hindu rasams and people watch Bollywood. They also use this as a stick to beat sufism in Pakistan with.

We will forge our own path, whatever that will be.

Pakistanis watch more Bollywood filth than Erthugul.... Yet the media doesn't cry identity crisis. Why?

Hindu Bollywood that is an anti-Islam anti-Pakistan and pro-rape culture is okay.... But watching Erthugul is crisis?

In reality what most of these critics don't like is either their own business value dropping or they simply don't approve Islam. Test this theory by searching for social media profiles of these critics. In this day and age almost every person has a social media presence. Search for their social media accounts. Check their prior history and comments.

The Pakistani media is up in arms because they cannot produce quality content. Pak dramas are generally a farce. Other content doesn't compare to the Turkish serial. Hence a lot of noise and frustration.

No person can enforce their views on others. The Turkish serial is a hit because it is quality content. Plain and simple.

Pakistani loving Turkish stories and people is very natural , it is closer to our heritage vs Hinduism movies from India

Turkish Islamic Caligraphy
Turkish love of Carpets and family system
Turkey leadership , War heros
Turkish education system etc

All these elements are very much shared

Not according to libtards who believe that Pakistan should rather be Bollywood and Hollywood oriented.

.
I do watch Hollywood movies as they are entertaining however , Turkish culture is very close to Pakistani views so it is natural for it to be highly popular

There is no issue of identity crisis , Turkey was the epicenter of Islamic civilization for 700-800 years and such people are naturally connected to Islamic history of that time

You are watching Hollywood movies because they are entertaning. The libtard wants you to watch Bollywood and Hollywood movies as a sign of rebellion and struggle against culture and religion.

I actually watched mehmud serial documentary on Netflix and it was pretty good. On his invasion of Constantinople and calling himself Caesar.
I think the problem comes when a Prime Minister of Pakistan promotes a Turkish identity series over a one who was the son of the soil. But sadly Pakistan do not have much son of the soil heroes among Muslims, nor even tragic ones, to look forward to.

I watch Hollywood movies because they tend to be made with 200 million dollar budget and are highly entertaining
I doubt that at any given moment it made me rebel against my normal point of views

However I am quite found of Ottoman Empire as a whole and Turkish history and what the accomplished

Folk Dramas or stories are always popular

There are plenty. Only that they have not been given recognition. Ahmad Shah Durrani tops the list ~ born in Multan.

But isn't he recognised as an Afghan emperor? But even if he is, then its Pakistani responsibility to make series on him. Then there is Ranjit Singh. Though he is the same as Punjabis, he is a Sikh. Lots of Sikh gurus who resisted Mughals and attained Martyrdom. Probably some small Muslim chieftains too. But Pakistani identity is being framed around who is Muslim and who is not.
Sadly Indian Muslims also face identity crisis. They consider Babur or Ghazni or Khilji as their own when in real they were never their owns. They fail to realise that only me and their compatriots are their brothers and not some unrelated people.who might follow the same religion.

That is where failure to construct a solid identity comes in. Who says he is "Afghan". That is a narrative expounded by nationalist Afghans. They have captured that space because the Pakistan state has touted Tipu Sultan [South Indian], Salauddin [Kurd], Bin Kasim [Arab] as heros. Without exception they have built up 'foreign' figures. Meanwhile native heros have been cannabalized either by Afghans or Indians resulting in Pakistan looking sterile and open to the charge of 'artificial'.

This is Durrani Empire in 1762. Clearly the part covering Pakistan had greater population % and the core Pashtun element had greater numbers in Pakistan.

Another good example is Hoshu Sheedi. A incredible general in Talpur armies of Sindh who faught valiantly against the British. Yet today in Sindh Bin Kasim the Arab or Tipu Sultan the Deccan Indian have far higher profile while Hoshu Sheedi lies in comparative ignorance by people of Sindh. This is sort of thing that lays grounds for identity issues and open to derision by outsiders.

Actually we have various small kings who fought against the British and celebrated in Indian and regional history.
I saw some Pakistanis promote Raja Dahir as a native king who fought foreigners. They were accused of being leftists by ' patriotic' Pakistanis. What's your thought on him?
