There is no Twisted Logic here. You are quoting "Sputnik", might as well start quoting Putin directly.

The Russians will try to take down a jet or two, just for revenge. The Turks have realized that and they are warning Russia that it won't be allowed. Turkish jets patrol parts of Syria where allied forces operate, and that's NOT Russian airspace violation. So the Russians have no right to shoot down anyone.

This is the right approach, to let the other party know that retaliating in a different country's airspace would mean a response back, such as taking out the S-400 batteries at the minimum.

This is similar to when Pakistan took out two intruding Mig's a long time ago. But to settle the score even, the Indians took out a four propeller naval plane with PN's officers on-board. A plane that couldn't even defend itself or get into a combat situation as its a bigger plane similar to passenger planes.

So here, Erdogan is trying to let the Russians know that he knows the game plan and there better not be a retaliation, as it'll escalate these things. Last time the Russians did this, they became Russia from the USSR. And this time, they might turn into Republic of Moscow!!

Russia can always provide S 400 to the Syrians, who can use them to take down Turkish jets which may intrude into Syrian airspace.

Did Russia invade syria? No excuse of destabilizing a sovereign state. IMO Pakistan along with CIA fought the USSR and the result was destruction of the afghan state and massive bloodshed ....and a country where extremism flourishes.

Turkey is proving to be cannon fodder in this, at the end, Turkey will be left with 2 million refugees, armed militias both kurds, and islamic extremists and open borders and why because Turkey is hell bent on destablizing the Syrian state along with CIA, Mossad and the rest of the qawwal party.

Its the west which use phrases like "Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan" on the other hand Russians to this day say that USSR was invited by Afghan Govt.You can pick how you want to look at it. We have Pushtuns which are on both sides of border and any effect on one side is felt on the other side of border, Turks have their community in Syria which they are trying to protect maybe similar situation. We had a insurgency in Baluchistan which you know was and is backed by same powers who are supporting Kurds with exception of India.We achieved a lot in Baluchistan and you can see the results it requires getting your hand dirty and correct timing . Turks are doing the same. But i find it very funny that whole of Turkey is standing by the decision taken by the Govt which swore to protect them and are in full support, then who are we to decide what they did was right or wrong for their security? Even US didn't like Soviets in their backyard ie Cuban missile crisis then how can Turkey be told to not act in the way they did for their own security. Oh one more thing i would like to add and espically a reminder to Pakistani members that USSR was one of the pioneers of our Baluchistan problem for which we pay till this day.
Erdogan should meet Putin look him in his eye and say" You want to start world war 3 for your personal ego then we shall let this matter slip further and shall see what awaits us but we will not compromise our security for faded lines,we need a clear picture of how would you guarantee respect of sovereignty and security of Turkey"
