Erdoğan: Young people cannot read their forefathers’ gravestones

@Yankee-stani these religious zombies think Erdogan is some caliph who will give them their ummah. Erdogan has been in power for nearly 20 years and last summer on my visit Istanbul had a nightlife with women, drinks, gays flowing in more abundance than London's West End.

My cousin who I haven't seen in 6 years is coming over stateside for research and post graduate studies mainly dealing with Cyber Security we had a interesting discussion over the whole Pakistani obsession with Erdogan and was just as overtly negative towards those types mind you he isn't some liberal at all
The problem is frankly not many Pakistanis know Turks or Turkey its only from those crappy TV dramas

hope Erdogan doesnt attend the stupid 100 years of the Republic of Turkey
You got to be kidding. Turkey will have huge celebration on the 100th year of the Ataturk's Secular Turkish Republic and Erdogan will be toasting it at the front. And if PMIK is still around he will be standing next to him.

I would like to ask Erdogan a question. Your the President. AKP has been in power for nearly 20 years. One Presidential decree would overturn Ataturks legacy and Turkish could go back to Arabic script. Why don't you do it NOW? Are you going to wait for another 100 years?

We know the truth. Erdogan just says these things to get support from all sections of Turkish society. He has managed to retain power now for so long because of this tack he has. He knows how to placate everybody. From gays to hardline Muslims. All.
as i asked before, what difference does it make if Pakistanis like Erdogan or not?
Tard, because they are hypocrites. Erdogan as President of a secular Turkish Republic is opposite of a Islamic hell republic.

I dislike him but as a politician he is savvy as hell no doubt but the thing is Erdogan will leave at some point the question is what will Pakistanis look to larp and fantasize

This thread developed exactly the way I anticipated :D:D:D

The best thing is the guys who gave my post a thumbs up.....how naive you are

My Friends, Erdogan will never change Turkish to Ottoman style....if at all the Young Kuffar Turks will change Turkish to a gender-neutral language, one that includes all the 45 or so newly discovered sexes!

I agree with you to some extent.
But I also agree with his overall strategy, leave EU, but pivot to Asia, especially ME.

The thing is, Turkey gain a lot by joining NATO during Cold War, huge benefit. Turkey leverage Istanbul strategic location - Bosphorus, milked west a lot.

But when Cold War ended, EU lure Turkey for damn 30 years, it's now the end of the boring double face talk.

Turkey knew very well that there is no position for Turkey, not possible. The economy benefit is less and less, while Strait of Istanbul is much less important due to end of Cold War.

Turkey must find new way to live better, and play the geopolitics. How to do it?

The importance of ME in general is declining, oil price is dropping, new energy is developing fast, shale oil is eating the pie, etc. What does that mean? It means US and west is shifting focus to East, the fast East. Most economy growth comes from Fast East, China to be specific. In 2020, 78% global growth comes from China.

The decline of ME gave Turkey quite a lot of room to play, the US pivot to Asia strategy created power vacuum.

If, just if, I am Erdogan, I will take the risk and play the grand game in ME.

In my opinion, Erdogan is a populist, no doubt about it. But as a politician, he really doesn't have much choice. Erdogan either please his voters or west, he chose former.

The west will try to overthrow Erdogan anyway as long as Turkey want to be SOMEONE.

The Gulf states, Arab world is declining fast. Turkey, Iran, Pakistan are the strongest nation. Iran is busy on Yankees and Gulf States, while Pakistan is occupied by Hindus.

No pain no gain.

What we witnessed is, Erdogan tried to mend ties with China, leveraging China BRI, political influence to hedge west. I think that's good strategy.

This is some doom and gloom that is not well researched or has any basic pragmatic research behind it to back it up.

You said the Gulf states is declining and the ME is also declining in importance? That is a big claim to make without any evidence.

Oil prices only decresed due to Covid 19 but cars will be running on the roads at fast paced until mid-century atleast that is when countries will slowly move away and that transition itself could take 20 years. So we are probably gonna be on Oil for another 50 years.

2050s is the mid-century were countris will attempt to move out of the Oil but it will take another 20 years to probably transition to other sources which means until 2070s

what car? EV is the future, dude. I am not sure about other countries, but China which is the single biggest market will transformed to EV in next 15 years. EU will more or less the same, but lag behind China a little bit. Japan and Korea will be in the similar pace.

Oil car golden age is past.

The Gulf state wasted easy oil money in past 90 years. If you don't invest in future, you literally don't have a future.

Most of countries in the damn world has no plan for future at all. One stupid meaningless election after another, completely overdraft their national capital.

90% of the countries is unimportant at all, and has no future at all. Doomed.

If you want to live a better life, only 20 or so countries may have a future.

What Gulf states have? 15 -20 years. If they don't invest every penny they can still earn right now to their own future, there is nothing but skeleton.

As I can see, they didn't invest wisely, nothing can be changed.
