Erdogan welcomes Abbas in Ottoman Empire style ceremony

.
No one talks about this. Look 1 million muslim refugees dead.

The number of Muslim refugees following the First Balkan War (1912) is estimated at 400,000. Most had already been expelled from other regions.21 After the Second Balkan War (1913), around 135,000 refugees arrived in Salonika alone. More than one million refugees lost their lives in flight, either because they were murdered or died from starvation or epidemics.

In the Russo-Turkish War, Russian and Bulgarian soldiers and francs-tireurs killed 200,000–300,000 Muslims and about one million people were displaced.

forget the method, read the part about how Arabs disliked the Ottomans because they were mistreated...

what happens in syria when people rebel against the government?
talk about mistreating and torture, the Ottomans were the best at it my friend... the khazouk(impalement) is Ottomans favorite...

Baksheesh is bribery, and the khazouk is a spike driven through its victim’s rectum, which the Ottomans used to terrify locals and deter potential insurgents. The Ottomans were hated here and throughout the Arabic-speaking Middle East, not only by the regional minorities (Christians, Jews, Shia, etc.) but also by their Sunni Arab coreligionists. All felt the heavy yoke of the Sublime Porte.

Your criticizing the ottomans for those things but they happen in your country all of the time. Going by your logic your government is oppressive so you should stop supporting it.

what happens in syria when people rebel against the government?
Turkey does it, and it is fine, but when Syria does it then it is a crime  plus majority of the people didn't rebel against the government... it is war against international terrorism... erdogan using Syria's war hoping he can return the sultan status...

and we are talking about Ottoman oppression of Arabs...

.
.
You are coming up with exsamples of people executed because of revolt, what exactly do you wanna prove?
It was quite normal to execute insurgents, the avarage Arab citizen had nothing to fear.
go back to post #208....

I'm done with you, you refuse to wake up to reality and admit the truth... Arabs were oppressed under the Ottomans, they were occupiers, no matter what, Arabs will always dislike them, no one here on earth like to be occupied by a foreign force... I don't know what you're trying to portray here, that Ottomans were great and treated Arabs as kings?

and the Arab revolt was all about getting rid of the occupiers...

alright I'm done here

The same countries supporting the rebels in modern day syria were supporting rebels against the ottomans :cheesy:

yeah the west is the enemy of Arabs just like how the ottomans were, west occupied Arabs, and now both the west and Turkey trying to bring back their "good old days", erdogan trying to take over Syria and Iraq, so he can become the new sultan, and the west is trying to take over the region and install their own puppet government so they can be in control...

Im not trying to portray Ottomans as Angels, they wasnt but im countering your exaggrating by saying Ottomans oppressed Arabs, believe me oppression looks way different, Arabs had every freedom in Ottoman empire.

The Ottoman sultans also slaughtered their own famliy members (even babies) and had slave women, like ISIS.

There is currently a massive pro-Ottoman policy and mass propaganda in Turkey under the AKP regime....

dude the same logic you are using can be applied to your country today. I don't think you like it when other countries interfere in you internal affairs and start trouble between people. The same thing happened to the ottomans simple as that.

Okay killing the family members was definitely bad, I think everyone on earth can agree with that. Also you get good deeds for freeing slaves so personally thats what I would do instead of enslaving. You can't draw parallels between ISIS and the Ottomans, yeah you can say they both fasted in ramadan but that doesn't mean they are the same.ISIS is a barbaric terrorist group along with the other extremist terrorists.

Iranic? which historian claimed that? Don't use wikipedia. I told you countless times. You are still learning history from wikipedia :disagree: But if you have serious sources from known historians, you can share them with me.

It is generally accepted that Xiongnu was from Turkic stock and share the same culture as Turkic peoples. Horse-riders, nomads, and archery.

It is your energy wasted :)

I didn't even mention Wikipedia you idiot. Hepthalites (Abdalis) are the biggest Pashtun tribal confederacy and Pashtuns are an Eastern Iranian-speaking people so it's more likely that Hepthalites were Eastern Iranian nomads with Turkic elements . Guess what? Turks weren't the only horse riders in history. Where is it genereally that Xiongnus were Turkic? First the Turkish name "Büyük Hun imparatorlugu" is false as the connection between European Huns and Xiougnus is disputed. We don't know how the Xiognus called themselves. We only have the Chinese name for horse nomads who attacked China. They could be Turkic, Mongolic, Uralic, Yenisseian, language isolate or just a mix of all.
