I personally haven't decided

I was for death penalty when I was younger. Over time I slowly changed. I am utterly against it. Of course I don't judge others who are against it. I understand where that instinct comes frome. If somebody hit me I will hit back. If somebody hurt my family I will hurt them back but that is my personal weakness. There is a differance between what I feel as person and what is right for society. I might not want to pay tax and instead prefer to keep that money but that is not good for society. This dichotomy is often seen between private good and public good. My feeling is for society as a whole death penalty is wrong. In Pakistan unfortunately they brought it back few years ago as a reaction to terrorist attack on a school.

On topic, if the Turkish public wants it then we must respect their decision. They were the ones attacked by pockets of their "own" military. It's easy to sit there and point fingers but it didn't happen to you or your people.

It may sound strange to some, but I see the death penalty to be more humane than life time sentence. Even if the sentence wasn't really life time, but 25 years or more. Such long imprisonment is basically a daily torturer, and a confirmed eternal depression for the prisoners. What will remain from the prisoners' lives after their release, and what kind of person the prisoner will be after 25 years of "captivity"? Think of all the psychological and physical illness and the death of all friends and relatives. You get the point.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are not a terrorist entity, whether you like it or not. You might as well get over it.

Not a single international organization or sovereign state on earth has classified the SDF as a terrorist entity. Ironically, not even your beloved Turkish government has officially labeled the SDF as a terrorist entity. How ironic.

As for the PKK, it hasn't carried out terrorist attacks against civilians in many years, if not decades. It now focuses exclusively on targeting security personnel (e.g. soldiers) during wartime. That's not terrorism. That's called insurgency. Learn the bloody difference:
