Tehran has slammed the US president's decision on Jerusalem as a violation of the UN resolutions.

TEHRAN (Sputnik) — Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will leave for Turkey to participate in an emergency session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Jerusalem, a source from the president's administration told Sputnik.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as the current chairman of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has announced that the leaders of the OIC members would adopt a road map on the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move its embassy there from Tel Aviv. And 1967

And 1973

The palestinians rejected two states and rejected Jerusalem being a shared city under UN control.

The Jews agreed to both compromises.

Even Abbas admits it.

They tried to wipe out the Jews. They stated they were going to commit genocide.
So now when they are ready you are not....remember even 1940s deal granted majority of land to Israel out of no where

I agree you can get rid if few millions Palestinian no big deal..you are nuclear state no big deal for you guys
But do you believe 100 years down the line the situation wount change...Muslims will not let this go...a historical lesson

Israel should take intiative and acceot the original plan which arabs are.rady to accept thus would end all problems for everyone ..humanity can thus get out of this bullshit religious fighting

Why would the majority locals population of Palestine accept the Balfour Declaration and the 1948 UN partition plan? Why?!! The Jews needed a homeland and if it is in their ancestral land then even better--the Jews needed to be protected from the CHRISTIAN Europeans who slaughtered them through as late as 1940's. But why would the locals in Palestine be expected to accept the UN Plan happily? It was natural for any majority population to reject such a plan. Would today's Andalusiad accept the Moors to settle there in large numbers because the Moors once lived there for 800 years?

Fact is: There are NO ORIGINAL INHABITANTS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD! Land has been inhabited by various groups over millennia. Even the Jews or their ancestors displaced some previous groups.

Anyway, it was chance to start fresh. The end of the WW2 gave humans the 'never again' slogan. But, apparently, some groups think because they were recently prosecuted they could make exceptions to the Never Again ethos.

Israel will never see peace so long as it doesn't get rid of this 'we are the Outpost of the West in the Middle East' mentality. You have come to the Middle East. Be a part of it! You are a potentially great resource in that region. Israel will never see peace so long as there are millions of Palestinians living in misery, whose plight will keep angering a rapidly growing worldwide Muslim population. Otherwise, there WILL come a time, when Israel's enemies will get strong and Uncle Sam backs off from the blind support. And that will be a very bloody time for all.

OIC summit in Istanbul should recognize Jerusalem as Palestine’s capital: Adnan al-Husayni

An emergency summit of Muslim-majority countries to be convened in Istanbul this week should declare Jerusalem as the capital of the state of Palestine, a senior Palestinian official has said.

“We expect the [Organization of Islamic Cooperation] OIC to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine. This will be an answer to [U.S. President Donald] Trump. You know that Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine but you need to declare it. It can have a very strong impact on the political level,” Adnan al-Husayni, the Jerusalem governor of Palestinian Authority, told the Hürriyet Daily News on Dec. 9.

The leaders of 57 Muslim-majority countries will meet on Dec. 13 in Istanbul at a summit initiated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey, the rotating term president of the OIC, following the U.S.’s controversial recognition of the holy city as the capital of Israel and decision to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The OIC officially supports a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Al-Huseyni described Trump’s controversial decision as a “bomb thrown into the Middle East” that will destroy everything the peace process started.”

“Our position as Palestinians, as Arabs, as Muslims is that we see no a [Palestine] state without Jerusalem its capital. This has been very clear since the very beginning of the Oslo [Accords of 1993 and 1995],” he said.

“This man [Trump] has his own political problems: He wanted to show he is helpful for the Zionists and for the Israelis here. But it is our capacity to speak about the future of Jerusalem, not Trump,” al-Huseyni added, suggesting that Israelis “do not want peace.”

“[The U.S.] thinks Israel has strong control and can force the Palestinian people to accept things. But the Palestinian people will never accept. They know how to fight; they know how to confront,” he said.

By AGENCE FRANCE PRESSE, Ankara, Turkey, Dec 6 – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is calling a summit of the main pan-Islamic body in Istanbul on December 13 to discuss the expected US move to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, his spokesman said on Wednesday.

“In the face of developments that arouse sensitivity over the status of Jerusalem, Mr President is calling a leaders’ summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in order to display joint action among Islamic countries,” presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin told reporters in Ankara.

He said the summit meeting would take place on December 13. There was no immediate confirmation from Muslim leaders if they would come.

Turkey currently holds the chairmanship of the OIC.

The recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and the moving of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem — expected to be announced by President Donald Trump later Wednesday — would be a “grave mistake” against international agreements, Kalin warned.

“Jerusalem is our honour, Jerusalem is our common cause, Jerusalem is our red line,” he added, urging the Trump administration to “return from this grave mistake immediately”.

Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag said the expected US move risked igniting a “fire” in the Middle East and will prove a “great disaster”.

The recognition will “throw the region and the world into a fire and it’s not known when it will end”, Bozdag, also government spokesman, wrote on Twitter.

Bozdag said such a step which showed “great intolerance and mindlessness” would “destroy the peace process”.

– ‘Chaos and instability’ –

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told reporters in Brussels ahead of meeting US counterpart Rex Tillerson that the move is a “mistake” that “will not bring stability and peace but rather chaos and instability.”

Asked whether he would bring the issue up with Tillerson, the minister said: “I have already told him and I will tell him again.”

Erdogan had warned Tuesday that the status of Jerusalem is a “red line” for Muslims and could even prompt Turkey to cut ties with Israel.

The Turkish leader — who regards himself as a champion of the Palestinian cause — is due to hold talks later in Ankara with Jordanian King Abdullah II who is also a strong opponent of the move.

Last year, Turkey and Israel ended a rift triggered by Israel’s deadly storming in 2010 of a Gaza-bound ship that left 10 Turkish activists dead and led to a downgrading of diplomatic ties.

The two sides have since stepped up cooperation in particular in energy but Erdogan is still often bitterly critical of Israeli policy.

The United States supports a strong relationship between Turkey, the key Muslim member of NATO, and Israel, which is Washington’s main ally in the Middle East.

Three have confirmed it publicly but many will go. OIC is a well established organization and was made for the purpose of Palestine and Occupation on Muslim countries. This session will really explain how potent it is.

sure.

This session will really explain how potent it is.

Positive thinking and hope is good. Did they have sessions for previous invasions?

OIC was created after the previous invasion when a Jew went into AL-Haram and tried to burn it down.

. . .
Well a good start for OIC to start discussion on Palestine, and how the situation can be resolved
