I agree on the technicalities.
But as with most of my participation over the years, I don't get bogged down in technicalities but get to the heart of the matter.
Don't want Muslim kids growing up not loving the flag, ensure they go to normal schools. A madrasa has no business teaching. Its a religious school, and it does not prepare a child for a normal financially independent and socially integrated and contributory life.
Why should the state support a madrasa? What business does the state have using my money or yours to support the teachings of a specific faith?
Those are the points that should be debated.
Not forcing the madrasa to hoist our tricolor.
You are indeed raising valid points regarding madrassas. And yes my response was technical and not fundamental as you correctly said.
Legal and administrative matters are meant to be technical, fundamental debates is the realm of polity and media... and the less we say about them the better. We are in an unenviable position where even our crappy politicians are a better pillar of our system than our media!!!
