Not sure if anyone else noticed the ban but I really like it :enjoy: I am seeing great reduction in noise pollution specially on Friday at least in my area. Before the ban it was hard to focus on work due to constant distraction specially on Fridays at least two hours before Friday prayers due to some kid or wanna be Naat Khwan type person abusing loudspeakers. I hope its same for other part of country since I am talking about Rawalpindi/Capital where enforcement is rather easy.

 thumbs up for this law, hopefully they will ensure to make it permanent.

Exactly, in my area, nearly around 3 AM, kids used to recite naats on loud speakers and it was always more of a screaming than naat. Will closely notice this ban on coming friday.
Considering the number of complaints being registered around the country in news suggest that people are realizing their rights regarding noise pollution. I hope the situation will get even better if they keep implementing the law strictly and people get used to not listening to what they don't want too. Any such activity should be limited to premises where interested audience would be happy to listen to content.

La hawla wala quwwata illa billaah, kaffiron.
 I think that was the fear that held people back from standing against this issue. Now with GOVT on their backs with appropriate law cover they can stand for their rights.

A good step by the government. Using the loudspeakers unneccesarily and mosques for the purpose they are not built for is not allowed anyways in religion. I dont get the point behind reading naats on the loudspeaker hours before the prayer for no obvious reason. The mosque loudspeakers should only be used for Adhan and some scholars even discourage using it for even iqama or congregation prayer itself. Only for Adhan.

. .
shoving religion down the throat causes repulsion instead of any potential attraction
loud speakers must remain within the confines of the congregation and shouldn't be used as a weapon against the helpless population in the vicinity

And if anyone defies their practices they are just waiting to label them as kafir as if they were ambassadors of islam. People need to stop this murshid kind of mentality and learn religion by doing some effort on their own.

Mostly this speaker stuff is more about show off to other sects instead of audience wanting to listen to it. They should be free to practice anything within their restricted area but shouldn't force others to listen to it. For example some time they start reciting Quran on loudspeakers in night which is very very inappropriate. There must be some sort of check and balance on the intensity of these speakers. I literally know some one who relocated to another location because his house was beside a mosque with 6 loudspeakers installed and they were freaking loud!

Not changed much on Jumma prayer where I usually goes to pray.

Seriously these private mosques should be immediately taken into consideration in pakistan. The government should not let any mosque operate without registration with a govt authority and a code of conduct to follow. Correct me if i am wrong many people have self appointed themselves as moezzen and imam for a specific mosque without any background check or test of their knowledge by the govt authorities. In the efforts of fighting terrorism the govt needs to involve itself in such things and appoint imams to lead the others who themselves have sound knowledge.

lol you are right, its a business these days. IMO all mosques should be registered and if possible Imam's should be on GOVT payroll.
