England Cancels Pakistan's Cricket Tour Due to Security Concerns

This is your first reply that is productive and non-condescending, and is appreciated. There are parts here that I agree wholeheartedly.

The only other thing I’ll say, if you come on a Pakistani forum and argue the benefits of being a queens subject be prepared to get a little flack for it. Don’t expect some of us to cheerlead that thinking, and I am not saying we are correct. What we have is an equal right to a belief and are willing to listen to open franks counterpoints. But we won’t be talked down to. As to your point about telling the forest from the trees that is an affliction that straddles all sorts of people. In fact I’ll argue desi have a greater proclivity of seeing vast forests where there are sometimes only a collection of bushes. But then again people think all sorts of things.

In parting please return our prized possession the Toad of Karachi, he is being yearned for here in Pakland. I am sure it is a misunderstanding on the part of the UK authorities. They are unaware of this fellow and his shenanigans.
I have always been open about it. My old avatar was an actual picture of me in Uniform. That was back when The forum was a lot younger. I swore an oath. The same one as My Grandfathers swore. The people who they swore it to took care of my grandmothers when they passed and provided for them. I have land in Pakistan that they earned through their service. If I hadn't been raised in the UK I would likely have been a poor agrarian farmer. I will not back down from my past irrespective of the flack.

I have helped build this forum. I am fully aware of the PAK mentality and that is what frustrates me. There is a victim mentality and a tendecny to descend into "them versus us" with the West. And it is not based in reality. Everything is a "Conspiracy" I just want a bit more critical thinking.

Anyway I will bid you goodnight. I can't help you with the TOAD I'm afraid. It's above my pay grade
Then WHY NZ even traveled to Pakistan (given the above two points) i.e. just to leave the Country before a cricketing event to bring bad limelight...? They could have made a case of not traveling to Pakistan based on the above two points... it is like yes our esteemed "Five Eyes alliance" have completed their "due diligence" and given us a green signal to travel to Pakistan but then ... a "U Turn" on that assessment...
Well the obvious answer is that something has either been said to them about a potential threat or a threat has been made. ( we won't know till it is made public)

If you think about the current situation
IRAN is pissed with Pakistan (Because of Afghanistan)
India is pissed with Pakistan (Because of many reasons Lol)
Afghani's on the losing side are pissed with Pakistan

All of these parties would love to humiliate Pakistan with a high profile incident involving foreign sports teams. How would Pakistan look then?

Ok Well you have given a fair reply and I answer it fairly. I don't like it when fellow Asians can't see the woods for the trees. For a large chunk of my life I listened to these ideas that somehow we are victims of a conspiracy that all white people are racist. I have seen the organizations that run things like Cricket/football and they are risk averse. they simply will not take any chance out of fear. Not some deep seated desire to "Stick" it to Pakistan cricket. The failure is that

1) Any risk exists at all at sporting events. The Sri Lankan team bus attack will not be forgotten in a hurry. There are still bombings that occur on a regular basis with Pakistan. And there will be in the current political climate a group that will want to cause as much disruption as possible. the messy exit with crowds of people fighting to get on planes is an image that lingers

2) Security is frankly a joke in Pakistan From corrupt police to lackadaisical attitudes to security. (The attacks on the Air force bases, naval bases) Attacks on french Engineers working on Pakistani ships. Attacks on Chinese Engineers working on projects for Pakistan.

3) The sale of the JF17 has nothing at all to do with this. The US has been offering F16's to Argentina for a while now (Which Argentina has rejected) And if the UK wanted to Cause issues to Pakistan a cricket tour is small fry.
The first 2 points are outdated and frankly make you appear like you are still living in 2010. Check the latest statistics on terrorism in Pakistan. In general it's at a multi decade low.

Do you think the NZ batting coach who got shot in 2009 has forgotten?

Funny thing about U.K. it takes its black English footballers to the most racist violent places on the earth for the match and they don’t care. Black players will face awful abuse threats during the game but nothing is cancelled or stopped for them lol.
you mean what the talis tried to do to sri Lankan team in 2009 and its planned replay with NZ team is same as some retard swearing at some black player?

.
You are just proving my point about being stuck in 2010. Where is this data is coming from anyway?
Lol I am not stuck anywhere. There were 14 attacks this year. 14 even if it is a "decades low number " is way to many. I would not go somewhere to play sports if there had been 14 terrorist attacks.

Yes you are stuck in 2010. Almost all attacks were in Balochistan. Don't try to pass your opinion as something authorotative. There are far more people killed in US each year. We are talking maybe 100 civilians dead which in Grand scheme of things is a small number. You are more likely to die by getting struck by a lightning. But yeah, my point still stands that you are pretending we are still in 2010.

cannot understand why you people have this delusion that you are so super powerful that the whole world is conspiring against you.

in another thread some retard suggested (by citing another retard namely sabir shakir) that England is conspiring against Pakistan because of a potential Jf-17 deal worth some 664 million dollars.

would it not be easier and cheaper for England to stop financing Pakistani version of social security namely benazir fund?

Not whole world. A few countries.*

*I don't actually believe the conspiracy theory. But just correcting you

Yes there are likely more people killed in America. However most of them are from crime and idiots with guns.
This is from terrorism and the clue is in the name. People won't listen to your "maybe 100 civilians dead which in Grand scheme of things is a small number" and think "Oh wow I guess that's ok then"

Just because you have become desensitised to it doesn't make it less relevant.

I also don't think his points very valid but I have different reasons.
1) it's different to provide security to a base year on year vs focus security of 11 members. It can be done.
2) Giving PM level security is very high. I do not think there was any risk to either.
3) Also, had the reason being security they should have followed some sop which is not visible.

All the cancellations are only for Pakistan support to Taliban in Afghanistan. If that guess is true, this is just a trailer.

Any idea, assumption WHY the threat was not promptly shared with Pakistani Security Agencies … I meant that would probably led to timely action taken against the planners …right?

On a general note, I have pointed out in other threads that Pakistan will have to bear the after shocks of the earthquake created by the embarrassment faced by the west in Afghanistan …

LMAO, yes the mode of murder is more important than actual deaths.

Yes, I am willing to bet if someone was told 100 people die in terrorism in Pakistan they would not think Pakistan is unsafe. Just because you won't doesn't mean other people won't. That's not to say it's not an issue, doesn't need to be fixed, or that one is desensitized. But 100 people in 220 million population in a very unstable region is a nothingburger.

The reason why people may think otherwise is because they are not told the data through this framing. They are just told "there was a terrorist attack", or the way you framed in "14 attacks". Vast majority of which are in Balochistan anyway.
