What Pakistan should do immediately in short term is some how promote cricket in China on a mass scale and also central Asian republic nations and Turkey would be a good idea, once there is a strong interest then its time to shove the ICC whose loyalty and interest lies with big three, but having said that any team that refuses to play Pakistan on home soil, Pakistan should do the vice versa.

Better still, why can't cricket be given back to it's rightful owners, the LGBT community and Pakistan should move on to bigger and better things?

Well, you got it wrong, it's nothing to do with BCCI. However, India did play its part just a little. I learned from highly reliable sources that there was a meeting held in Delhi where people related to security from the US, UK, and India were discussing what should be done to put pressure on Pakistan in relation to Afghanistan. We did suggest that canceling cricket and creating an atmosphere that Pakistan terrorism is growing is a good and reliable method. Once across the world, people feel Pakistan is unsafe there will be a trickle-down effect.

Both NZ and England know that their teams are safe with security provided to the level of PM of Pakistan. So this is part of a larger plan.

Competitively exporting any type of manufactured goods to China is extremely difficult. Most countries who get rich by exporting to Chinese market will be exporting natural resources. The Chinese will turn the resources into products and ship it across the world. So if Pakistan wants to focus on trade with China, then it has to develop its mining industry. To export manufactured goods, Pakistan will have to look at EU and US for consumers

Yeah I got it, I was just saying textiles should serve a different purpose of providing jobs for illiterates type people, of course money should come from IT, minerals, Pharma, electronics and should be the number #1 priority

I want to shift towards ME, Asia (which also includes China as we have a solid FTA with them, so it can be market especially with a rich, decreasing population which can pay off some 1-2 decades from now), Africa because trade with west means we have to "listen" to the west and our changing strategic priorities mean we cant afford that

Believe me Pakistan has tried to promote cricket in China and it hasn't bore any fruits.

Chinese are not too keen on cricket, perhaps due to it's limited appeal across the globe, it's not going promote Chinese brands in places where it matters.

Getting Chinese or Turkoman nations to play cricket would be harder than terra-forming mars.
