Engineer to show demo of car that runs on water in Abu Dhabi

Engineer Agha Waqar receiving threats from Mafia

No step has yet been taken by the government of Pakistan regarding security arrangements. He also said that he has been awarded with great pride and respect by British including Singapore but it is sad that there was no response given to him by the government of Pakistan.

Few days ago, a Pakistani Engineer, Agha Waqar claimed to invent water-kit to run vehicles fueled by water leaving the world shocked. During a discussion on a live TV show, Engineer Agha Waqar gave the opinion that vehicles could be driven by a system fueled by distilled water instead of petrol. He claimed that a vehicle will consume one-litre water for 40 kilometers while a one-KV generator could produce electrcity for two hours by one-litre of water.

However, during a demonstration on live TV show, Agha Waqar Ahmed drove his car using water as a fuel. Agha Waqar Ahmed is the first who took initiative for introducing this technology in Pakistan but some TV channels are claiming that something the world already saw decades ago has been invented by Pakistan in 2012.

Minister for religious Affair Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah, who heads the cabinet committee, said the Ministry of Science and Technology will fully support the Sukkur-based engineer. “The ministry and the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) will study the feasibility of the project as soon as possible”. He added.

The Minister said they would provide complete security to Engineer, Agha Waqar Ahmed, adding that the formula will also be kept in secret.

At least one Islamic nation invented something after long time...good luck

Sounds brilliant. If this project becomes a success, then perhaps ME countries will have to work hard in future to earn their bread, as selling oil will not be so profitable. Cheers,..

I'm planning to go check this feat out and if given the chance I will ask difficult questions... Where have you read that he is using Calcium Carbide? Also do you have any literature that I as a layman can read about reacting Calcium Carbide with water to produce acetylene? Also is the mixture ultimately cheaper than gasoline? Is it cleaner?

Check his face to face meet with Dr Samar on PTV - where he admits the catalyst being carbide. I have posted the video in this thread earlier.

How can Hydrogen gas be used in a petrol (spark ignition internal combustion) engine?, when even diesel, whose combustion properties are close to that of petrol, cannot be used in a petrol engine. Uing Diesel in a petrol engine, which can only be used in compression ignition IC engines, will damage the engine. Even a mechanic knows this.

A challenge would be to compress hydrogen gas in an engine designed for petrol. Hydrogen is very very light infact the lightest gas in the periodic table. An engine designed with tolerances for petrol or CNG would leak hydrogen like an open tap.

welcome to the retard club.

He fooled a lot of people and now the scammed are looking for a payback. So the topi drama of security.
Now I have serious doubts if Pakistan actually has nukes?

There was a law once, that ‘earth is flat’ and we all believed in it, like we believe now in law of thermodynamics. Science is how we perceive and laws are how we satisfy our observations. They tend to change with era, so be open to ideas – and at least try to get the theory out of him? Yes, it sounds dumb, but earth is round sounds dumb, isn’t it?

I wish that he will prove that basic law of thermodynamics is wrong.
This will be new revolution in the physics.
Nothing is impossible.
New law is coming soon.
"If this project get success Then he will become the richest man on earth".
And he will be owner of his New law.
"The amount of energy required can be greater than amount of energy generated",

Scientefic fraud is becoming to common in Pakistan - the sorry state of nation education.
What would you expect anyway from a country run by chaudrys, sardars, waderas and khans?

does anyone recall a similar embarrassment earlier?

Thanks for this post mate.....hope more people talks logic like you....

In another thread, I read about increasing number of PhD students in Pakistan and how tough dissertation and their thesis are checked. Pakistan jumping ahead in research field.

These news are slap on the face of so many hard working Pakistani scientists who work day and night to bring Pakistan on fore front of science and technology and don't get enough credit and appreciation. No wonder, they will leave for other countries, brain drain.

Dr. Hoodbhoy said correct thing about state of Pakistani mindset.

Stop these kinds of non-sense, you make life difficult for Pakistanis working abroad, doing PhD and Masters there, same people who send billions of dollars to their country and find out the growing ignorance.

Atleast there are enough people who took up the challenge to debunk this claim.

But the damage has been done already. Now it comes to disaster management.

I remember the thread in which people just thanked the OP for giving the news about him winning some prize from seemingly respectable org. Those who were skeptical about him were called jealous.

After hearing the top Pakistani scientists who were involved in the nuclear and missile program, speaking about this water kit, I really have started having my suspicions about the actual condition of Pakistans 'Strategic Assets'.

I have serious doubts on Pakistani PhD - many are just clowns.
Don't take any claim from Pakistan on its face value. Doing PhD has become so easy in Pakistan that every tom, dick, harry and aunty is doing it. I used to have a class mate, she wasnt the brightest student through out the school life but guess what even she has now done a PhD from Karachi university.

What i meant is that,he can drive a car with an 'hydrogen powered' engine using the hydrogen obtained from electrolysis of water, but for that he will have to supply gud deal of electricity(it was my school project;where i demonstrated running a small hydrogen engine). Only after making my first post i realised that, that idiot is claiming to run a normal petrol IC engine with water!

Its the problem with society not scientists. I am sure there are many good scientists in pakistan who are itching to talk against it, but either media is going with the flow (or they are afraid of consequence).
After the abu dhabi trial, media mood may change, and suddenly the stupid engineer may become enemy of the state.

and when did I make that claim?

Nobody was talking about an IC engine.

Furthermore your response towards the article I posted proved that you didn't understand the main point of the article.

You said that its possible to run a car with burning wood. In these days a car automatically means a IC engine
