In Mumbai the original flat owners always gang up against people who are buying the apartments later. They would rather want the apartment owner to sell the house to them only at a lower rate. That is why they introduced a system that the flat owner who wants to sell his flat has to get a NOC from the Society.

This system has been misused regularly by select few people.

Before being asked for religion it is very common in Gujrati dominated socities to ask if the new family is non-vegetarian or vegetarian. People have been turned away just on the basis of their eating habits.

The Govt should ban this NOC business immediately.
