Elon Musk embarrasses US, Russian, and Chinese space agencies by launching the most powerful rocket

Musk is just a tech promoter, SpaceX is merely funded by get NASA's tech developed with tax payers' money for free, and if it were in China, there would have been several anti-corruption investigation in SpaceX and NASA already.

So yes China wont have a SpaceX equalivent since our anti-corruption rule are actually enforced unlike the wild west US.

Btw, anit SpaceX just failed another launch very recently?

. . . .
All he did was hire NASA employees. SpaceX exists because of NASA not as a competitor but as a byproduct.

Amazing video being live streamed!!!!!!!!!!!

That camera is still going (it looks like a static pic but you'll see light reflection changes). Meanwhile that $5 camera on the drone ship can't run for longer than 20 seconds without cutting out.

whats the point of competing with domestic companies that can provide innovative products at a lower cost and are subject to DoD requirements.

give credit where it is due,
and we do have private sectors that are working on space project, there are boosters touch down testing (carried out by a private company) videos you can find on net

Still it is seen as a success for private sector engagement. Nasa is more than happy to free itself for more secretive stuff for its home country.

I think it has to do with intense vibrations that camera has to face while coming down which causes the signal loss.
