LAHORE - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said holding the general election had become a nightmare for the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and its allies. Talking to a delegation of party leaders from Pindi Bhattian, Nawaz said the rulers would have to conduct the general elections came what may. He said the present government had broken all previous records of corruption, adding that after coming to power, the N-League would make all the corrupt people accountable and retrieve the looted money. He said no other party but the PML-N could rid the country of the menaces of corruption, unemployment and inflation. Nawaz said the development process had been stalled and the country had been pushed backed to the dark ages. He said the rulers had closed their eyes to every problem and were only interested in prolonging their rule. He said the N-League was fighting the war of survival of the country. The PML-N chief said those banking on the slogans of change would see their real standing among the masses in the forthcoming general election.
