Election results 2019: Boris Johnson returns to power with big majority

Waiting for political analysts to talk about impact of Indian origin diaspora in UK elections

There was no impact in fact it was utterly embarrassing.
Leicester has the largest Indian community, primarily Indian Gujarati outside India in any one city apart from London, yet the entire city voted Labour on mass, all three wards elected Labour even though the Gujarati community spent the last couple of months banging on about Kashmir and how Labour was siding with the Muslims.

They couldn't do anything in Brent either i.e. Wembley which has a huge Indian Gujarati community;

They only managed something in Harrow East.

We all know what happened in London, only the outlying areas voted conservative who are white majority.

The reasons for this are that the Indian community is split, the Sikhs don't give a toss about Kashmir and the Khalistan support is massive among the community. They also don't like the fascist RSS.
The Gujarati Hindu community is also declining in numbers and has aged, and also find themselves outnumbered by many of the new communities now. The Indian Muslim Gujarati community has always voted Labour as well.

The BJP endorsement clinched it for Boris Johnson, that was when the tide turned. Brexit was non issue

No it did not, it had nothing to do with it. I have put up the results as proof, in actual fact the Indian community is marginal and can't really do much to influence the results.

Stupid labour party, when whole world is turning islamophobic they just licked Muslims bot*um

Still, the swing was evident

Stop speaking RUBBISH on here. You know nothing. There was no swing, not even a hint (evidence already put up) and none of the parties are Islamaphobic or have ever been. We don't have such fascists like you have in India. Go worry about your own country.

Good post bro above but can you not see that there are quite a few Islamophobes in the Tory party and the leadership has failed to kick them out?

Thanks bro.
As for the Islamaphobic stuff it is way blown out of proportion and the equivalent was the Labour anti-Semitic stuff. There were a few that will/have been weeded out. Both parties want the best for all, we simply do not delve into facist or far left politics, that's why we don't have the idiocy you see in mainland Europe where true far-right fascists sit alongside crazy lefties.
I have been a conservative supporter my entire life, not Tory but compassionate conservative and have never come across the bigotry people speak of.

One great thing about UK is that extremists on either the left or right never have a chance of getting into power.

Hope the Labour party kicks out the rabid die-hard socialists and becomes a real centre-left Party again. Also I would like Boris to make way for the moderate Tories to come back into the fold after Brexit is over.

I saw some reviews showing reduction of majority to labour party and increase for Boris party where indians are more in number

Is this your analysis?

Yes.

Like I said the effect was marginal at best. The bottom line is that Labour stomped home to victory in every area where there was a significant Indian population, including their biggest bases of London and Leicester.

It was the White working class who gave the conservatives the victory, which also means the Labour party faces walking the deserts for many years.

.
Indian population is 2%, Pakistani population is 2%. No one swung anything, give it a break from BJP nonsense. We don’t want South Asian politics in the West.
