Election commission Ignores Blatant Bribery video & Statements by Ali Gillani & Maryam Nawaz

It's politics, not an academic debate.

One has to do both, and it appears the first step is going through the ECP (the ECP is hearing this issue currently, and the ECP feedback is not very encouraging).
What’s academic about asking the PM to follow through on his accusations? I understand that it might be soon, but that means we should expect something like a judicial reference which outlines his arguments and is followed by a proper investigation and evidence collection. I look forward to it.

Also, ECP won’t investigate allegations of corruption on it’s own. Even when it does these things it relies on the likes of FIA, so a proper process is needed, nothing can be expected of the ECP on its own for now.

ECP cannot become a prosecution authority.

It's not her constitutional role.

You can argue that it's the most disadvantaged in this battle of institutional supremacy.

Tell that to immy who’s holding them responsible for allowing corruption, undermining the election process, damaging democracy, when all it did was followed the usual procedure and in line with SC ruling. And now amazingly, they’re being blamed for not investigating, you’d think that maybe CEC was somehow PM.

When you don't have long knives, you find yourself a thin neck to twist.

I am shocked that poor gola ganda wala didn't get article 6 on him and death penalty.

Jo dab jaye usko maaf na karo. Jisse dab jao usko aqa ban lo. ye reh gayi hai syasat

Did the Election Commission follow an investigative process on NA-75 when they declared the election results void and called for new by-elections?

What 'facts & investigation' was conducted, and by whom, to overturn the PTI's victory in NA-75?

You can't have it both ways.

First of all opposition or PTI claiming rigging from party offices is common. Public offices should not be used to address these matters, that’s just my personal opinion. Imran Khan’s case is an extreme example, the accusations he made were very serious, and his remarks were scathing, and he did this while addressing the nation as PM, on national tv, not some party channels. Maybe I’m too hung up on procedure and decorum, but his allegations and language are serious, they need to be followed up. If he doesn’t, it reflects even more poorly on this matter.

Secondly on the bold part on Daska, you need to read up. Did you hear about the short order? The review filed at the ECP was heard in front of a three member panel, form 45 minutes review was conducted, the returning officer himself gave a statement and raised the matter of the presiding officers and recommended that the vote not be validated and re-vote conducted. So they have looked through and deliberated on evidence, some from their own sources, form 45, and other sources before deciding. The whole murders and conducive environment argument is another matter and adds yet more weight. PTI’s legal teams last I heard were waiting on the detailed order to decide if they want to challenge it. The PTI candidate has raised a petition with the SC in the meantime.

Now if IK is serious in his allegations and insinuations, he must have a judicial reference filed with his issue with the ECP, FIA along with ECP activated to investigate the matter of any corruption. Obfuscation won’t suffice.
