Eight soldiers killed, Istanbul palace attacked as Turkish unrest mounts

Im afraid i have to agree with you on here. Seems Erdogan has been a huge failure for Turkey, he is taking this one prosperous/peaceful advanced country(i have been there myself, it looked far more advanced/mordern than even India) into a wrong direction. He has turned Turkeys policy of zero problems with all neighbours, to problems with all neighbours. Lool. As the syrian conflict and iraq instability continue and as islamist jihadists continue to flock to Turkey to fight their Jihad in Syria expect Turkey to continue to be even more unstable. Im not even talking about all the hundreds of thousands of refugees(isis sympathisers involved) flocking to turkey as a result. :undecided:

In short his policies have been a total diaaster for the country. I think he shouldn't have gotten involved in the syrian crisis in the first place, it wasnt in Turkeys interests to do so. Funny enough many Turks still support/vote for him.

He really is a smart strong man though, since i dont understand how he is still so popular despite all his obvious failures. :D

There are already debates that this whole military operation is a show by Erdogan to decrease the supprt base and the votes of Kurdish dominated HDP in early elections. It's all speculation, but honestly, knowing Erdogan, nothing is strange for him. He is the Ahmadinejad of Turkey, a populist that won't waste a minute to start a parody show.

But if the above speculation is true, this news shows his game is backfiring:

HDP could be Turkey’s 3rd biggest party, says pollster head - POLITICS

.
Terror is beginning to spill over from Erdoghan's bs meddling in Syria.

You're simply insulting Ahmadinejad here :frown:

It also serves as another reminder that no midsize developing country should ever play geopolitics where much bigger players involved

RIP to the victims.. Sad to see Turkey descending in to chaos.. Once the beacon of a truly secular modern prosperous Muslim state, Hopefully this instability ends

I'm afraid Erdogan and his mullah's are to be blamed for this, You can flame terrorism on others and not expect to be burned by it.. History is full of such failures His regime has basically made enemies of almost all their neighbors including China

Hope Turkish intellectuals and decision makers now compare Turkey today and Turkey years back with zero-problems policy. A few years of stability and economic growth went to Erdogan's head. He should have not meddled in Syria. Never ever destabilize a land neighbor.

I actually agree but I find it ironic that an Iranian regime supporter would say this since you've contributed to the destabilization of your own neighbors and even other countries. Iraq, Afghanistan (recently been proven Iran supports Taliban), Syria, Lebanon, failed attempts in Bahrain.. Many examples as you can see.

Both are two sides of the same coin screaming at each other without realising that they are no different from the one they criticize so much.

Hmmm.. Correct me if i'm wrong but hasn't Iran always been reactionary than proactive ? Most of those places you mention they have got involved after either Shiite minorities have come under threat or their regional allies.. More a case of protecting their interests in the face of threats than actually attempts of starting conflicts

They started the whole mess with their revolution. They tried to export it to the entire region and started funding terrorist groups to attack westerners. They thought that they could become the leader of the muslim world but because of their sect being a minority among wider muslim community, they failed to be the leader and thanks to the Syrian conflict, they are becoming the main villain among the muslims. Sounds like a nice example of karma.

Iran has never destabilized its land borders. Iran has gone to great efforts to do what it can to support the government of its land neighbors to ensure stability as much as it is able to, including promoting business investment opportunities when possible and providing energy resources.

destabilise you say? says the iranian who bankrolls a man who has killed more arabs and muslims in 4 years than the entire israel arab wars. Only iran led by the filth that is khamanei could send billions to a mad man while his population are sleeping on the streets.

I guess erdogan should have closed his borders and watched syrians get murdered like ants. Then we would be having a million hamza al khateeb murders a day which would no doubt please iran and its filthy ayatollahs

Syria was stable before countries started funding anti-government rebels.

Go and try to find what stablize and destabilize means.
