let me answer those who say we shouldnt celebrate milad bec prophet (peace be upon him) never did so.
well prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) never forbid us from doing so. if he (peace and blessing be upon him) had, he (peace and blessing be upon him) would have also stopped ppl of madina from singing qaseeda burda and playin duff on his arrival.
listen to this and then ill ask you something
now here habsha ppl used to come to masjid nabwi on a particular eid day (same day when prophet, peace be upon him, came to madina) every year and sing for prophet, peace be upon him. if you dont have a problem with habsha ppl celebrating every year the coming of prophet, peace be upon him, to madina then why should we not celebrate his,peace be upon him, to this world.
also i would lik to request that we should not be too rigid with everything. there is a hadith in which prophet, peace be upon him, told hazrat abu bakr, may Allah bless him, to not stop the girls from singing. now in my limited knowledge this is the only hadith we have got available to ourselves in this context.
now if
1. hazrat abu bakr, may Allah bless him, would not have walked into prophet's, peace be upon him, room
2. those habsha people wouldnt have come every year
3. ppl of madina wouldnt have celebrated prophet's, peace be upon him, coming to madina
would you have made all this forbidden on yourself?
all these three cases are arising from a situation and not as prophet's, peace be upon him, commandments and it is very likely that such events wouldnt have happened.
