Hopefully they've already agreed on a ToT to manufacture them in-house and be able to integrate them on both, the Rafales and MiG-29Ms.

All the stuff they appeared to be interested in cooperating with Serbia on needs to hopefully get going before the Serbs get involved in any border conflict with Kosovo. Marching and lining up a substantial portion of troops right on the border is usually not a good sign.

Locked & loaded EAF F-16 Ds (or could be older Bs didn't check I didn't reference the serial numbers) packed with A2A missiles AIM-9s & 7S and interestingly enough also carrying LANTIRN & FLIR pods...?......while escorting the presidential plane.

Hi Gomig-21,
That's a D model, can be recognized by the fin root fairing end. Also if i'm not mistaken EAF A/B models do not carry AIM-7.

You are correct, sir.

Looking at the inventory chart for the EAF F-16s acquisitions from 1982 to 2013 (a span of 42 years) you can see that during the Peace Vector III acquisition from 1991-1993 is when that particular D (two-seat model) Serial #9811 was delivered.

I was unsure at first because I know they're still flying the very first B models they got back in 1982 and most of the time when we see these A2A refueling exercise they bring out those older Bs, but some people assume they're Ds which are also two-seaters.

Agile Pheonix brought out practically the entire generation of falcons in the EAF, from those original Bs to the most recent block 52s.

That was quite the lineup and out of those were at least these 4 B models.

This is also one of the original B models block 15 #9208 from 232 TFW. All these older models went through an MLU to bring them up to block 40 standard IIRC.

There was also one of the original A models they brought out during a Lockheed Martin celebration event that was held at Cairo West Airport. Can't find the pic for that one though.

Out of curiosity, what do you mean by "fin root fairing end" bro? Are you talking about the back end at the base of the tail fin (vertical stab)?

1696891450744.png

Every single EAF F-16 has that short end at the base of the V-stab except the block 52s. Only the block 52s in the EAF have the extended bases on those things.

Blk 40. Stubby tail base end.

Not sure if that's what you were referring to? If so, the other interesting thing I discovered when I was looking into all those details a while back is all 220 F-16s the EAF had ordered prior to the 20 block 52s appear to have the GE engines. Then when they ordered the block 52s, for some reason they came with Pratt & Whitney engines. You can tell by the exhaust nozzle ends. The GE engines have the shiny, grey turkey feathers on the nozzles while the P&W engines have an all-black colored nozzle.

With the shiny GE turkey feathered engines.
