Romania intends to receive Azeri gas through Bulgaria

This route can be a part of the "Southern Gas Corridor".
Romanian Transgaz interested in receiving gas from Azerbaijan via Bulgaria for its further sales in Europe.

Oxu.Az reports citing Interfaks.ru that according to Bulgarian media the statement came from the Member of the Management Board of the company Bogdan Iliescu.

Iliescu said that after the construction of gas jumpers Bulgaria-Greece and Bulgaria, Romania, they can transport the natural gas from the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), through which the Azerbaijani gas is transported.

"The gas can reach Romania through Bulgaria, and then - through the Romanian gas jumper - to Hungary and to reach the European market in Austria," he said.

The Romanian company believes that this route can become part of the "Southern Gas Corridor", in which Europe will receive natural gas from the Caspian region.

TAP project is designed to transport natural gas from the Shah Deniz field in the "Stage 2" through Greece and Albania to Western Europe. Capacity of the pipeline is 10 bn cubic meters per year, expandable to 20 bn cubic meters, depending on the demand. Azerbaijani gas supplies to TAP expected since 2019.

European countrys are doing a big mistake by not pushing for Nabucco, lets see what happens once Russia invests in more pipelines to China, at least Romania seems to have a sane foreign policy.

its not European countries that are making mistake, its other countries not wanting to be part of the project
countries such as Turkmenistan , Iran was one of possible suppliers but then sanctions hit
so only Azerbaijan is left to supply Europe and we can only max the production at 60 bcm per year
good enough some European countries and Turkey.
Although Azerbaijan is still offering Iraq to use its pipeline to deliver gas to Europe
but they got bigger problems right now.

Sometimes im asking myself what Turkmenistan president is thinking by selling cheap gas to Russia which Russia sells for even higher price to Europe, they could sell its directly to Europe for a higher price, and strenghten their bond to their Turkic brethen which would eventually pay back such as military hardware for example in the future.
Turkmenistan under this guy is the perfect exsample of how to be a 100% Russian stooge, is that guy stupid or whats wrong with him?

Agree, doubt there is too much Russian pressure since they don't even share a border
and it seems both are competing for new contracts in Asia , while there is a massive project being built
right across the Caspian.

Message of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to participants of the First Global Forum on Youth Policies.
“Youth policy is one of the priorities in the activity of the Azerbaijani state, which regained independence 23 years ago. Favorable socio-economic and socio-political conditions have been created in the country for the successful implementation of this policy”, says the message of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to participants of the First Global Forum on Youth Policies in Baku, APA reports.

The message was read out by Head of the Department for Social and Political Affairs at the Azerbaijani President’s Administration Ali Hasanov.

The message reads:

“The country has begun to see a rapid economic growth thanks to a series of successive reforms carried out over the last few years. The rates of poverty and unemployment have significantly reduced among all population groups, including youth.

Material and technical base of education, healthcare, culture, and sports has strengthened. Continuous stability is prevailing in the society. Hospitable traditions and tolerant atmosphere that have been typical to our people for centuries are deeply rooted now.

Provision of intellectual, physical and spiritual development of young generation, revealing the creative potential, increasing social activity, taking comprehensive measures to solve social and employment problems have always been in the focus of attention. For this purpose, a foundation was established to support youth organizations’ and individuals’ initiatives and projects implemented in accordance with relevant state programs approved over the last ten years.

Thanks to the projects implemented with the view of accelerating socio-economic development and forming excellent infrastructure, bilateral and multilateral relations built with various countries and international organizations, rich experience gained in organization of large-scale events, Azerbaijan has hosted regional, continental and international forums, conferences, summits and sporting events in recent years.

I’m confident that the first Global Forum on Youth Policies that started today will take a proper place among those events. We regard the decision to hold the forum in Baku as a high estimation given our country’s experience in work with young people. AZAL to increase number of Baku-New York-Baku flights

AZAL is to increase the number of Baku-New York-Baku flights.
Azerbaijani Airlines will increase the number of flights on Baku-New York-Baku route from December 8, 2014.

The flights will run not only on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but also on Mondays starting from December 8.

AZAL said that the flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays with departure from Baku at 06:00 (UTC/GMT +5 hours) and arrival to New York at 09:30 (local time).

The return flights will be operated on the same days of the week leaving New York at 11:30 and coming to the capital of Azerbaijan at 08:00 the next day.

total BS they try a faild attempt for education reform to homogenize school systems cerrently there is two type of school in CA the mother language school the russian school this reform was met to destroy the russian school by other mean russian of turkmenistan whould be come turkmen but putin act and stop it

about imams he remove uzbek imams and replace them by turkmens since they are connected to uzbek islamist whom has strong root in uzbekistan-turkmenistan border even though if it's right he have done right thing as all the imams should be jaild/executed
