Correct me if I am wrong but I think green card comes under 'Permanent residence' visa and is different to nationality.

It is almost the same with less privileges, Anyone holding PR Card is equally resident of that Country with many privileges but cannot contest or vote or some other privileges that only Citizens have.

Next IF parliament can pass a bill and make it a law, should be all serving and future MPAs-MNAs-Senators will get medical treatment in Pakistan and would have to lose their seats resign if they want to go abroad for visit-personal business-treatments.

Later on the Parliament must pass that only Pakistani nationals can become ambassadors to foreign missions. It is a big move... Dual nationality holders are some of the richest and most powerful people in Pakistan. Even among the common man, those who have dual nationalities often carry more weight than the regular Pakistani.

So let's see who all gets the boot next time round...

Law should be that a dual national have to sign an affidavit saying that if he/ she is elected to the Parliament or accepts a govt. service then, he/ she will follow all laws of Pakistan and in all cases only Pakistani law and jurisdiction will apply. This statement is valid in all matters which are related to the state of Pakistan.

Dual national Pakistanis are an asset as they send billions of dollars to Pakistan. They deserve better!!

What about those scientists who want to work in Pakistan?

Most of the corrupt Pakistanis don't have dual nationality because they don't need to have dual nationality!!! They have enough money and power to live in Pakistan and get away with murder.

The purpose of this law is to punish overseas Pakistanis for supporting Musharraf and Imran Khan.

May be you should not only read but also understand the law first. This law apply to all dual nationals who want to work for ANY division of the GoP/ Prov govt. and to any dual national who would like to participate in Pakistani politics.

It is a God given right of all Pakistanis to participate in elections by contesting an election or to work in Pakistan.

The talent of overseas Pakistanis is far greater than those who live in Pakistan simply because of the exposure they have received in foreign lands. Whether it be the people working for corporations or active in politics.

Find the key to your narrow mind and let fresh air come in.

There are 8 million Pakistanis living abroad and many have dual nationality, instead of wlecoming these people into Pakistan, the GoP and Nawaz Sharif has come out with this nonsense to discourage them from making a difference in Pakistan.

Son of another former PML-N MNA Tehmina Daultana is also a British Citizen .. this is 100% confirmed.
Not sure if she herself is foreign national too but ofcourse she must have gone to UK to give birth for getting citizenship for her son

To hold a public office in Pakistan, one should be a Pakistani citizen without holding any dual nationality, this is so that there is no conflict of interest ( as can be seen now )
To do good for Pakistan overseas Pakistanis can add their inputs without holding public offices. Public Offices in Pakistan should only be held by those who are living in Pakistan and have all their stakes in Pakistan i.e. are not dual nationals
EC has given the right judgement in this regard
