I can't describe to you the scale of the devastation.

AFAD alone is in the disaster area with 24,000 trained personal, the army and NGOs are also in the area, but the devastation is too great. The destruction is so great that we need much more. Right now, thousands of volunteers are being airlifted. From distributing food to sorting aid, we are all trying to do something.

The area you see in dark red is home to millions of people and is largely made up of urban areas. The building stock is almost unusable and in some districts and neighborhoods the extent of destruction is 50%. There are thousands of debris sites, at least 1 rescue team is needed for each debris site.

I don't want to drown your soul by sharing graphic content with you here, but what we are facing is one of the greatest destructions in modern history.

We welcome every single person from every country with search and rescue training and disaster emergency training to help.

The "humanitarian" Western Europeans voted to extend the embargo on Syria for one more year. The Americans still have an embargo on Syria.
