Can someone tell me why south Indians like to keep to themselves and don't even mingle with North Indians? Here, I am friends with Indian Punjabis and Gujuratis and we are on a talking level, yet the south Indians I see walking around in their own groups that even the North Indians don't want to touch. Just curious, why is that so?

The South Indians in US and Europe are probably mostly migrants from South India directly where Hindi/Urdu is less known or at most as a 3rd language. So there's less chances of them interacting with the the Hindi, Punjabi people because of the communication gap.

Simple Reason :

it's easier for us to talk with you guys because of our similar Languages like Hindi-urdu/Sindi-Gujarati/Punjabis etc. etc. also we are culturally Brothers .

but Keralians are very Welcoming People they are also heavily Mixed with Foreigners like Arabs,Persians,Europeans and their Language is also very Close to Sanskrit. they mostly have Light Brown to Pale skin. so yeah they also feel they are Closer to us then their unmixed Neighbors :)

I was aware of the linguistical differences but we all communicate with each other in English so I did not believe this would have much bearing on this? I don't know, if they ever have to interact, it feels like both of the groups feel awkward around each other. Just what I've noticed, also which group of Indians is it that are all like very small but speak Hindi/Urdu. Are they Biharis? I mean no offence, India is very diverse, just trying to learn the differences among the people.

They also have their own group even though their language is pretty much understandable.

This point doesn't hold any water since the language used to communicate is English between all these groups. I don't exactly speak Punjabi with the Indian Punjabis and have rarely ever done so except a word or two.

On a historical note Deccan had it's own identity and was known as "Limyrike" to the Romans and Greeks.

"area he calls Limyrike, more or less the equivalent of the Malabar coast. He spells out in detail what Barygaza imported and exported"

The ancient conception of South Asia was:-

1 (a) Ινδική > The Indus region that is modern Pakistan.
(b) Hendosh > The Achaemenid Persian satrapy covering modern Sindh in Pakistan.
2. Ινδική > The Indus region and Ganges basin.
3. Limyrike > Deccan region or modern South India.

Like me and @Levina DDG are almost like from opposite poles of india. The only similarities we share are our Passports, same army background and same schooling.

Where are you from in India, and what language do you speak? If you don't mind me asking.

.
just for the sake of recorded history i was talking about the movies ........ and talk about the movies many bollywood movies are copies of tamil movies .... they are the most entertaining movies ..... i mean one guy can beat thousands of guys with banana .... or an egg ...... that is one place where laws of physics donot apply ....... if they are getting independence then instead of Dravida Nadu they should name themselve .....south indian triangle

That would depend your own approach .If you are likes a lots of fantasy and unreality then you will only see such films. But if you likes good films then you will surely remember about it .And Indian film industry has a lots of good films like that .

But what kind of interactions do you have. going out for food, watching movies. In these cases its common for similar communities to get in touch. My brother in US goes with his Keralite friends to watch Malayalam movies or with Tamil friends to Keralite/South Indian restaurant. South Indians can't do this with North Indians and vice versa.

one other question sir Aryans are invaders and real owner of india are dravarians who fled to the south ....... if they are actually from that race then technically they own the whole subcontinent

Aryans and natives ?Wrong history .
Aryans means 'noble' .A quality that can earn only through good deeds and words ,again according to the ancestors of Indians .Morons like invaders gave a bitter taste of colour in to it .
In that case your 'Aryans' are truly barbarians. Our ancestors called them Mlecchas .
The natives of Indian sub continent are tribals .They are still here .All other Indians are almost equal in nature ..That is why these s called Dravidians still own this part of India.

wow that's a bit much, I think, its not that way at all.

You should travel around India and see for yourself the great diversity, english and hindi bind us together or a lot of people wouldn't even be able to communicate with many others, so language being the biggest, but there are a lot of other cultural nuances that play a role in a scenario where if these groups find themselves in a foreign environment, and if enough of them are around, they will sort of make groups, so its just a cultural construct thing, not a sign of disunity among Indians.

all of North India in general, all of it up to Bengal, have much more cultural similarities with Pakistan in general, where groups like the pashtoon, punjabis, sindhis, baloch, muhajir? etc might have significant differentiating factors such as language and physical appearence, it is more or less still a homogeneous cultural grouping when compared to north and south Indians, it's most obvious in the food. The north east is another topic alltogether, there are probably many north easterner Indians around where you are and you think they're Chinese. :D

I am totally against even for creation of new states.

What is the use of creating new Dravida Nadu ?

We all know there is too much of diversity , that if we divide, we have do it , keep doing it, until we become district size country ...

What is the need of the hour is, I feel is the preservation of diversity, and strengthen it with unity ..

No .Until we become a village .
