I was talking about our relationship with China, i.e China would not want us as equals (just like the relation between USA-Canada is unequal), but we would never accept that.

First let make ourself to be considered that. Even if we are alike Canada our people will be able to live and get the food, home and water. That is still enough for people to live.

For me living happy is important, no matter how, no matter whether democracy or communism, no matter whether through association or separate or by giving the nuclear weapon. I consider if peace prevail, we should give up the nuclear weapons. Because to me some day, something will be stolen and that will be biggest day when all will cry.

I think some people consider India as one who can fight with China. I guess this is completely myth unless over night everything change. Only suprise to me is that why India is having so much growth rate. If you know, Malaysia had a 500% increase in the economy in short period of time but than it decreased or maintain the same level for the next 15 years.

Actually Russia wants us to become permanent members (we're observers now), but it wont be a good idea to join until our border disputes with China are solved

Joining itself is solution to dispute according to me. If I believe the real thing, dispute is already solved. But the nature of the treaty would not come until Kashmir issue is solved I guess.

Yes there was a thread on this very topic where members were discussing that the days of India's balancing act between the U.S and China ( non alignment ) is coming to an end....sooner or later India would have to choose to either strategically join the U.S or the SCO....
personally I believe if India and China resolve their differences and Russia has always been India's brother....then we ought to go for SCO ....the U.S foreign policy is too fluctuating to treat it as a reliable ally.......
