He was not some Elon Musk who was indispensable. He got 7 years to perform. Didn't do any extraordinary job hence he is being thanked for his services and sent on his way. For the kids here who probably are still doing their inter/matric or just getting into uni, here is a sneak peak preview of the real world. Doesn't matter what your qualifications are, if you are the head of the organization and do not perform in 7 years you are shown the door. Often organizations don't even wait more than 3-5 years.

That's what I'm trying to tell our bro. That there is some credible evidence though govt can remove anyone from a contractual position without assigning any reasons. Evidence is only required if the govt wants to press any charges against him and I think...we will see an action taken against him. Being expert in one's field does not necessarily means the person is honest and neutral as well.

That's true, but it's not like we have a load of talented people lined up. Besides surely someone like him can be moved upwards rather than being disposed of. Look at his CV and what he's done for IT in this country. IT exports going up 5 fold in the last 5 years is mainly this mans initiatives.

Can you provide information on how he is responsible for "5 fold" increase in the last 5 years. I take it he started the startup culture in Pakistan but I don't know if any of these startups have turned around into IT exports. Furthermore, no such claim has been forwarded by the man himself. I know of only one person who has been the firebrand advocate/marketer of Pakistani IT industry and that has been Jehan Ara President of Pakistan Software Houses Association.

To be fair PTI will be accountable 5 years from now. Shabaz brought him in and its fair PTI bring their own. He has done good job IMO. To the point that every IT related project in Sindh or KP have PITB footprint.
