Dr. abdus salam centre for physics approved

I also don't care what our COAS faith belongs too. Yes there is weight in your statement, it just happened after COAS, he might have pressure Nawaz for this, otherwise things like this never happened in past
i secretly wish him to be one.if he is he will be going much harder on these mullah scums than his predecessors:butcher:.

The Irony of our nation is that the one who praise Dr. Abdus Sallam and wants his name to be remembered is abusing and even don't want to here the word Hero for Dr. AQK.
Dr. Abdus Sallam may be a disputed hero for many but Dr. AQK is undisputed Hero of Pakistan and the Pseudo Liberals don't want to hear a word of praise and appreciation about him.
Agreed with you. Indeed it is never about science or national interests, all of these comment on this thread are politically biased and have nothing to do with what is actually good for Pakistan.

.
One of the biggest problem with our people is that we tend to Ethnisize and religionize every other thing. This is where thread ban is one of my favorite tools.
Some posters need to grow our A.Q Khan and Abdus Salam both are our national heroes, no need to start comparing and going off-topic. Great decision.
Lol, any person with the knowledge of nuclear science and technology will tell you that Uranium enrichment is actually the only step involved in achieving the manufacturing of a nuclear device.
Probably the most funniest comment i have seen in awhile.

For a nuclear device, the only step involved is Uranium enrichment.
You need to educate yourself.

For those who don't know, we also went on to enrich Plutonium.

I have posted a link in one the next posts you can read it and if you have your own wise opinion or any scientific patent about nuclear explosion devices you can share it, so that I will become educated after reading it.

Dr. AQK is undisputed Hero of Pakistan
He was exposed in recent programs after water car engineer episode, It was found Dr Abdul Qadeer khan have no concept, even whole world laugh at us when he supported fake water car engineer. No doubt dr Abdul qadeer was tool for nuclear program used By ISI. Abdul qadeer khan gave bad name to country because he gave nuclear secrets to Iran. You can't call anyone Country hero when he himself is involved giving bad name to country after selling nuclear secrets.

A tool used by ISI ? seriously ?
Similarly you can not call Abdul Salam a national hero because he left the country in rebellion against its constitution. Constitution is what actually defines the country. And share the video where Dr AQ Khan said about that water car ?

With due respect sir. The same rule applies to other scientists also, He was the main reason behind Pakistan's Necular program and he did what he was up to.

To make a nuclear reactor, the uranium needs to be enriched so that 20% of it is uranium 235. For nuclear bombs, that figure needs to be nearer 80 or 90%. Get around 50kg of this enriched uranium - the critical mass - and you have a bomb. Any less and the chain reaction would not cause an explosion.
We also went on to enrich Plutonium, just for your information. And secondly, there are numerous steps of making a nuclear bomb, just enriching Uranium itself must have a 100s of different steps. You need to get hand on the tech, the design of nuclear reactors, and as Syed.Ali.Haider mentioned you also need a heavy water. Which was hard for us to get hands on as after India had tested it's device the Canadian's didn't sell us heavy water. If i am not wrong it was acquired through China, or we produced it ourselves. Not too sure. Say if you do make a reactor that works, once you have enriched the Uranium you don't really have a nuclear bomb ready. Requires Fission, which in itself requires more of mechanical experts to create a device. Getting all the mechanical and electronical needs in place, you also need something to deliver it. Probably need a missile or something, i guess. So i don't really get your comments.
Secondly, before giving all the credit to one man you should know that A.Q khan himself wasn't alone in efforts to enrich uranium. Not to forget the efforts of DR. Munir Ahmed Khan.

Apparently it is not the only step. That being said i will not undermine the role of A.Q khan, he did his part like the others.

One left the country due to life threats, other sold nuclear secrets, and became threat for national security. We were centimeter away for sanctions by U.N

You are confusing so many things with one another.

Yes Uranium enrichment is not something which you do with your hands, you need technology, and that technology was acquired by Pakistan with the help of Dr. AQ Khan from blueprints of the design to getting the materials and components. You can watch documentary of BBC in this regard.

What the hell a nuclear reactor has to do with the nuclear bomb ? both are different things. My comment was about a nuclear explosion device. You dont need reactors, you dont need heavy water. Yes, you do need delivery systems but that is an entirely different field and not a part of device manufacturing. See so many countries have missiles but they are not nuclear capable.

I never said that nobody else was involved in the project, from Bhutto to the soldiers who stand guard to secure these facilities and thousands of scientists and engineers, we owe debt to all those unsung national heroes. But all of this dream was impossible if we would have not been able to acquire Uranium Enrichment technology and that was done by Dr. AQ Khan who sacrificed his career and comfortable life for us.

:hitwall: OH God! You seriously need to read into enriching Uranium first and how it is done. @Syed.Ali.Haider , i bet you are having a good laugh looking some of the comments :enjoy:.

Dear we went on to Enrich Plutonium, which was never A.Q Khan's field. What are you talking about?

One left the country because of his religious motives and was unable to influence the govt and gain religious benefits through his scientific achievements.
The other left Europe to return and dedicate his life for his country, and also gave an ultimate sacrifice by confessing and taking all the blame on his self and saving his country. And, now kids like you strike key-board all the day and night and bash those personalities whose single-day is more valuable than your entire life.

:hitwall: OH God! You seriously need to read into enriching Uranium first and how it is done. @Syed.Ali.Haider , i bet you are having a good laugh looking some of the comments :enjoy:.
Bhai maaf kro yar, shaed PDF py comment baazi ki wajah sy fsc me admission nhi hua or aa k batyn krty ho.

Acha choro, i just want to know how Uranium is enriched. And how a nuclear reactor has nothing to do with a nuclear bomb. Just curious.

He was not Mullah/Molvi type guy for some religious motives, he was pure scientist, infact it is opposite what are you talking , Molvi brigades gave him life threats , they wanted to convert him.
