What's the status of IP Line? People on PDF says Nawaz Sharif is Pro Saudi Arabia and Saudi's are against IP Pipeline...Will Sharif go ahead with it or not???

I never understand why Pakistan failed to pursue Iran to take assurance of pipe through Pakistan. That's the only thing that called off IPI project.

India and Pakistan will never trust each others words. Pakistan and Iran being on good page of each other should have made that possible.

Last I know India was firm and willing on IPI project. The only thing India want was assurance of Iran for the safety of pipe and gas till Indian territory. But Iran was unwilling to assure it in Pak territory and was insisting on take Pak Govt. word.
So if Pak was serious about the project it should have made Iran to do that.

Energy is the growing need of your and our economy. Even with sanctions on Iran India find a way to deal with it and trade is going on. We didn't abandon Iran. It's a fact. So it would have been same for IPI too. There is no other energy option for India/Pak/China. So project would have been a hit. And it would have been better for Pak as you would have saved some investments and would have got the transit fees too.
