Nonsence. United States along with Europe is only getting stronger. Russia is dead meat in the coming years, it is nowhere as powerful or rich as the now extinct Soviet Union. Russia just needs to be bogged down in another country for around ten-years and the next thing you will know Motherland Russis will give birth to another 14 republics.

Western sanctions are only going to get worse and they're going to bite very hard couple of years down the line - just ask the Iranians.

Nonsense. Even poor countries like Iran and North Korea survived sanctions. Russia is now stronger than ever since 1991. Crimea was returned, soon Novorussia wins, and it has several million inhabitants. Russian nuclear arsenal is much more modern than the arsenal of the United States, not to mention Europe. Army is modernized in accelerated pace. Industry too. Society unified and consolidated around Putin.
Russian easy will take a slight worsening the quality of life, as in the 90s we experienced a real genocide.
After 10 years in the Eurasian Union will be almost all republics of the former Soviet Union, and perhaps other countries, such as Syria or Serbia. Given the decline of the West, the 21st century will be century of China and Eurasian Union.

Not sure that nato got "whacked", minimal casualties and decent enough control over what is just mountains and desert with people who just succumb to whoever has a gun, be it Taliban or US troops, Russia got "whacked" in Afghanistan though. Russias army being well trained, well its well trained compared to armies in Africa I suppose but the Russian military is what I would describe as sloppy but it has always been really.

Except that west provided modern weapons to those scumbags and today these scumbags have no benefactors like the 1980's. Yet they have created enough issues for NATO.
