Musharraf secular, are you sure?
BBC News | SOUTH ASIA | Pakistan 'not meant to be secular'
PPP secular, are you sure?
PPP is not a secular party: Mehdi Hasan | BottomNews
No party in Pakistan could be labelled as a secular one.
Pakistan is an Islamic leaning state which favors the Deobandi brand of interpretation.
There is nothing in between. Either you are a Muslim or you are not. Either their is an Islamic state or there is not. . And why so hesitant in implementing Islamic Law???
Sir, all the examples you mentioned above are USING Islam to either gain popularity or to stay in power. By actions there are all secular. .

Islamic law? which version of Islamic law? Every sect/state has its own version of Islamic law? Be it more violent like taliban's law- or ridiculously more strict like Saudi Arabia- or more dictatorial Iran's law-
Keep believing that.
If they were secular, they would be able to gain much more support from where it matters, the west.
Look at Gen Ayub, he was a liberal secularist and he had so much backing from the west that he turned Pakistan around.
He even removed the 'Islamic' from Pakistan's name through constitution.

oh no Sir. I know that Musharaff drinks and whatever he did in his era is enough to prove that he is secular. And as far as Zardari is concerned; he would mention Islam and Allah in his speeches instead of Bhutto if he was Islamic. .
Sir Ji- going by the definition- no country in this world is secular anymore- here by secularism it was meant to point out to governments which dont carry Islam or any religion as their state agenda- Like JUI-
What has drinking got to do with secularism. We are discussing separation of masjid and state, individuals can be whatever they want. Gilani can have a beard if he likes, only the law they pass in parliament should be secular.
Secularism does not mean individual need to be non-religious.

The only secular gov in Pakistan would be one which advocates the removal of Islam from the business of the state.
They don't do that because they use these religious parties for their political benefits. Its not because they are inclined towards Islamic Law. .
