I have a confusion. Few year back I have seen 2 different pics of Multiple Rocket Launcher Systems on KRL website and as far as I remember, one system was mounted on a APC like vehicle and the name was, I think "YARMUK" while another was a Truck mount system and the name was "GAZAB" or so.
Now that weapons pics and info link of the KRL website is no more available. However we can see the remaining KRL products on IICS website, but the MRLS pics are not there.
Can any one clarify and also post the pics of Pak MRLS ?

Dude, the guy asked about the Pakistani made MLRS and yet you don't know even to the extent he knows and you are so informed that you mentioned about new procurement deals from China.
Please, tell us how did you learn about such deals.

How weird you asked this same question in another thread, the answer is given in that thread.

Yes well take anything he says with a sackful of salt. According to our resident expert Pak has MIRV warheads and can take on America.......:disagree:

. . . .
Pakistan simply has the 122mm MBRL systems. For some reason, PA believes Towed Arty is a better solution and more flexible than the newer MRLS. At one point, PA had looked into WS-1B and it may do so again in the future...but for now 122mm systems are it. Not saying that PA will not revisit the MRLS again, just saying that from all the indications, its not very high on the list of priorities (Towed and SP guns are though).

MRLS are useless they are unguided weapons and arent that effective, for what 100m, 200m etc these ranges enemey can fire a guided missile at least from 2-5 Km and finish the job MRLS are being phazed out, the PA may have the use of them by exporting the thing out.

Well they are as unguided as a conventional Artillery shells. The benefit is that you can use it as an area saturation weapon. A single US MRLS can put enough firepower into a specific area to equal that of 2 batteries of tube Artillery. In either case, I am not for or against it...whatever the Army sees as appropriate should be purchased.

Not exactly true. Terminal guidance system are available to MBRL. They can be very precise these days. Whether we can get it is a different issue.

My point was simply to state that the vast majority of the MRLS/MBRL and tube Artillery is unguided. Otherwise you also have options with Tube Artillery for accuracy like the Copperhead derivatives and Excalibur etc.

I agree most are unguided. My cousin came to US to do course on advanced MBRL 2 years back as part of pakistan-US military exchange program

.
POF has signed an MOU with a French company that will allow it to increase the range of 122mm rockets to more than 40km from current 20km and also will improve their effectiveness
