Does India have a history of 10000 years?

So Indian history starts at 2500 years ago. Prior to that, it's prehistory. It doesn't mean that nothing existed. But there were no records of what happened and everything a conjecture. The Egyptians had written records dated back to 3000 BC. The Persians, Babylonians, Jews, Chinese, and maybe even Greeks had written history prior to the Indians.

Indus script isn't deciphered yet .

Indus era stretches from 3300 BCE to 1900 BCE and it did extensive trade with those in Egypt and Mesopotamia .
We followed an Oral Tradition . Vedas the Oldest Hindu texts can't be dated but Scholars put it around 1700-1200 BCE in written form . Again only on the basis that Aryans invaded/migrated during this period , which we all know is the worst cooked racist theory .

History starts either verifiable written recording dated back to the time of writing. When was India's first written recording of History and that the evidence is recorded within the life time after the actual event. Otherwise, they are pre-history or legends.

There is no way one can "verify" written record as being true or not.

For all you know, it could very well be a work of fiction.

There is no irrefutable proof that any old records in existence speaks the truth. One takes it on good faith based on our understanding of human nature and human society.

In this context, Hindu History (in scriptures) has talked about knowledge of history right from the origin of this current earth and life on earth, in a time span which is called a "Kalpa".

Each Kalpa is approximately 155 Trillion years old.

The universe creates and destroyes itself in the time span of each Kalpa.

And our current Kalpa is the 51 in the scheme of things.

Each "Kalpa" has 14 "Manvantara" or "Ages". A single "Manvantara" is a "Age of Manu" or the "Age of Consciousness".

The first Manvantara being "Svayambhuva Manu" or "Self born certain consciousness" which was 1.9 Billion years ago. The Fist Manu or "conscious being" was/is called "Yajna" or "one born of fire".

The current Manvantara or "Age of consciousness" is the "Vaivasvata Manu", which translates as "Age of Changing place / Migration consciousness" and the name of the Manu or First consciousness of this age is "Vamana", i.e. "One who Spreads (ejects) consciousness ". This started 1.2 Million years ago.

The age before this one was called "Cakshusha Manu" or the "Age of Monkey / Ape consciousness", and the Manu or the First conscious being was called "Ajita" or "invincible ape".

The well known and most recorded history of Humans in Hinduism is during the age of Vaivasvata Manu and its abut the Kingdom of Ayodhya and its King and subjects and the wars it fought. Interestingly it speaks of wars being fought in alliance with Ape men and Monkeys.

This was much before Darwin came up with the theory of evolution that told us that humans evolved from apes and there used to be Ape men.

We'll leave out Indus Valley script as scholars can't even agree on whether they are scripts. Oral tradition are pre history. As for Veda text, when is the earliest existing artifact we have today. That is when you can really date it.

THIS is our history as recorded in our books.

The books in which these are written is called "ancient history books" or "Puran".

As a matter of fact if you look at modern understanding of Human evolution and time lines, it matches with the ancient hindu records of various Manvantaras.

If India treat this as history. It's brain washing it's kids by adding legends to history. India need to learn what separates history from prehistory, legends and myth.

I don't Know .

I am told , they used to write on Leaves . Which have very small life .
1500-1400 BCE is accepted as the date , since round about this time we see mention of Vedic deities , Indra , Mitra , Varuna , Natsaya in the treaty between Mitanni and some other kingdom in Syria .

Parts of it are History and Geography and some of it is plain myth and legends :D
If Bible tells the real History of Middle East and Israel , then Mahabharata and Rig Veda are history books of India .
Aryan invasion is based on Rig Veda and its famous battle of 10 Kings :enjoy:

The first inhabitants migrated into the Americas from Asia. Habitation sites are known in Alaska and the Yukon from at least 20,000 years ago, with suggested ages of up to 40,000 years. Beyond that, the specifics of the Paleo-Indian migration to and throughout the Americas, including the dates and routes traveled, are subject to ongoing research and discussion. Widespread habitation of the Americas occurred during the late glacial maximum, from 16,000 to 13,000 years ago.

The first known European settlement in the Americas was by the Norse explorer Leif Ericson [ 11th century]. However the colonization never became permanent and was later abandoned. The voyages of Christopher Columbus from 1492 to 1502 resulted in permanent contact with European (and subsequently, other Old World) powers, which led to the Columbian exchange. Diseases introduced from Europe and Africa devastated the indigenous peoples, and the European powers colonized the Americas. Mass emigration from Europe, including large numbers of indentured servants, and importation of African slaves largely replaced the indigenous peoples.

As I said, this is part of recorded history in India known as "Puran".

The very fact that these ancient records which dates back thousands of years speaks of evolution of life even and records it in accurate timeline speaks of its authenticity. The timeline which is now being claimed by "modern science".

1.) 1.9 Billion Years ago, was the age of "Svayambhuva Manu" and name of Manu was "Yajna" (Explained earlier)

2.) 16.63 Million years ago, was the age of "Svarocisha Manu" which means "Self aware premier consciousness" and name of Manu was "Vibhu" which means "Powerful come into existence"

3.) 13.54 million years, was the age of "Uttama Manu" which means "Excellent consciousness", and the name of the Manu was "Satyasena" which means "Army of truth (truthful beings)"

4.) 10.46 million years ago, was the age of "Tapasa Manu" which means "Self heat consciousness" and the name of the Manu was "Hari" which means "Hairy / yellow-brown one"

5.) 7.37 million years ago, was the age of "Raivata Manu" which means "Rich/well endowed consciousness" and the Manu was called "Vaikuntha" , which means "unlimited / infinite (potential)"

6.) 4.29 million years ago, was age of "Cakshusha Manu" which means "Monkey / Ape consciousness" and the manu was "Ajita" or "invincible ape"

7.) 1.2 million years started the age of "Vaivasvata Manu" which is the current age and it means "Changing place / Migration consciousness" and the Manu is "Vamana" i.e. "one who Eject consciousness / spread knowledge"

Now compare this with modern Evolutionary time line.

So you are relying on references from other civilizations historical record to come up with a date for an Indian historical document. There are two problems

1. We have no validity of this Syrian document. If it's written is 500BC talking about events in 1500 BC, it's about as valid about we write about crusades today without bibliography references.
2. How do we know that the name referenced is the exact ones as in Vedic writing.

Also, Aryan invasion is accepted universally is because it's not written with historic evidence. Such as British created India is within historical record.

The oldest existing Calendar in India is the "Kali Calendar" and its a linear calendar and not a cyclic one like modern calendars.

The first day on the Kali Calendar is 18 February 3102 BCE.

Its a valid document . If I am correct it is inscribed on Stone Tablet .
Because they used the Indo Aryan language and they were Indo Aryan rulers of Syria .

Ya ! Indus Valley with real evidence but no literature and A vast literature without any real civilization .
Its taught in Indian Schools as real history but no one believes it .

That map is misleading. This is a more accurate representation.

Also explains why Sanskrit is the mother of most European languages.

This is just their best guess. And Sankrit and ancient Persian split up at about the same time. That evidence point toward Aryan invasion.

Do we have written artifacts from 3000 BC in India?

IMHO there is nothing misleading about that map in the context of discussing when a mass population developed in the America's. That is relevant to the discussion, while the question whether or not Sanskirt is the mother of most European languages isn't.

Normally I would challenge you to explain how it is misleading, if this where relevant to the discussion, but it ain't and so I won't.

Suffice to say that someone claiming America's history is only 500 years old is obviously not well informed, to say the least.
