Do You Think This Kind of Little Navy to Fight China’s Navy in Asia Pacific? LOL

India could not detect Augusta class submarines because they were docked in a submarine pen in a Pakistani port. How can you find or track a submarine if it is not even deployed?

They were not docked. 2 subs were undergoing modernisation only one Augusta 90 B and 2 Old Augusta 70 were in open waters. What kind of navy keeps submarines in static pens during high alert? You couldnt find even 1 despite scouring our shores with P8 supposedly worlds best ASW aircraft.

I would like to see 3% of GDP spent on defense. China is facing external threats from US, Japan, India, Australia. This calls for more funding for the military. It will act as a deterrent too.

Spending less than 2% of GDP considering the threats China faces is not a wise idea.
What are they're going to spend additional money on?

China is already building at full capacity to catch up to US Navy.

To avoid war, you must spend money on defense to deter aggression. You invite aggression from enemies if they think they can win.

I think open, direct aggression to China is practically unthinkable.

Aggression are on economic and ideological planes. To fight back, different tools and strategies are required.

This is probably the rationale behind the moderate military spending.

But, I believe, on ideology and economy warfare, China may decide to be more proactive.

Still, while things are going well in the larger picture (China adding one India to its GDP in one year, academic publication size and quality reaching high-developed country level, etc), probably no urgent need to ruffle feathers on the Bald Eagle.

No urgent need?

US has troops inside Taiwan, making anti-China alliances, thinking about cutting off China’s oil supply.

CPC is making too many bad assumptions about the US. Cooperation is pretty much dead. The war is coming. China has maybe 2-3 years before a radical Republican President comes to power and fills up all the important positions with anti-China hawks.

If guys like Cotton, Pompeo, Pottinger, and their types get in, war is almost certain.

This is why China must get on a war footing right now and have massive investment in military to prepare for the worst case scenario.

It has been revealed a few hours ago that the British Navy was “tracking Russian subs” in the middle of nowhere & a Russian submarine hit the ships sonar below them
maybe time for the little islanders to get better sonars, clearly they’re useless 😂

The British MOD kept this quiet since 2020.. clearly because of the embarrassment. But channel 5 leaked it right before the talks between nato and Russia to stir things up.

“The collision, which was caught on film by a Channel 5 TV crew, did considerable damage to the HMS Northumberland's sonar device which was raked across the Russian sub's hull, forcing the British crew to abort their mission and return to base for repairs.”

This goes directly against British rhetoric. It really shows how subpar and outdated British equipment is and how quiet Russian subs are.

The Russian submarine was centimetres away from it and they had no clue. Of course they kept this quiet. It happened 200 miles north of the UK.

There was no damage to the Russian submarine, it continued on its mission.

In case of war with Chinese & Russian, those small outdated navy of british. Would probably sunked after coming out from thames river by Russian subs waiting in ocean, far far away before they reach Asia-Pacific waters to fight Chinese Navy:coffee:

For Chinese Navy itself, in year 2021 alone they Commissioned much more Destroyer than the Entire of british navy :D

In 2021 alone, Chinese Navy Commisioned :
2 x 40,000 Tonnes Type 075 Assault Carriers (PLANS Hainan and PLANS Guangxi)
3 x 13,000 Tonnes Type 055 Cruisers
7 x 7,500 Tonnes Type 052DL Destroyers
9 x 1,500 Tonnes Type 056A ASW Corvettes
1 x 12,000 Tonnes Type 094A Nuclear BalIistic Missiles Submarine

That’s bring the Total of Commisioned Warships in 2021 alone to almost 200,000 Tonnes !!!

Fvcking amazing 8-) 200,000 Tonnes of Diplomacy
Russians giving the brits a little reminder with a tiny slap that it is them who are doing the tracking...
