Russia is in a tough position. You would think that it would never go to war with the US just to prop up Assad or on the account of Syria, but it's much more than that for them now. Its military reputation is at stake here because they're supposed to be the super power in control of that country and the last time the US hit, they moved out of the way which didn't make them look too good, but they got away with it. Then the Israelis are popping in and out without any resistance and now this highly anticipated attack with all the recent events of double agents being poisoned and diplomats expelled and mounting tit for tats.........they're in a position where they might have no choice but the fire their S-400s and send their fighters up and aggressively intercept the others coming in and maybe even shoot one or two down.

It seems like if they don't stand up for themselves, they'll lose a lot more this time. They need to at least shoot down as many missiles coming in as they can just to show some clout.

Russian military officials said yesterday that they will not only shoot the missiles, but will target the platforms firing the missiles..ie.; the ships and fighters too.. they already flew very close to a French FREMM frigate and a US Frigate on their way to the East Mediterranean.. They sound pretty serious this time..

The US has been flying surveillance aircraft in Syria for years trying to spy on Russia. Do you know what Russia did? They shot down US drones, jammed US drones and dispatched fighters to chase away US aircraft.

Russia is terrified


If those ‘brave warriors’ relocate to one of the Russian military bases those Americans aircraft will head back home without having accomplished anything.
