Diversion of US aid - Indian propaganda exposed

news sources how much biased will not quote a specific person till they have a backing else they can be sued in court with crores for defamation. if you realize this... If it would have not been the case any newspaper would have quoted anything as of like "Barrack Obama asking for aid from Asif Ali Zardari".

R.A.W- first of all we all know that we are getting aid from US, the aid coming now from US is to help The IDPS and also build school and infrastructure and also to overcome the energy crisis. US is yet to reimburse US for the military Aid. here is another thread for it.

also if we are buying weapons it's certainly not for a decor. it will be used against the aggressor, may be it is India or Israel. its just pure business you see, but again this tread was to discuss that Mushi has claimed which i doubt he did, its just another hog wash from indian media, and why would he give such an interview to Indian media, if he wanted attention he would have said it while he was being interviewed by Fox new in the US.

It is being taken out of context.

He said that when any army unit gets some equipment, it uses it & stays with it. So if tomorrow that unit gets transferred, it has to take away the equipment with itself to its new location whether it be on the border with India or anywhere else. As units don't stay in the COIN operations for more then 1 year or little longer. They have to leave for next station after fulfilling its operational tenure. Plus if things gets hot with India, we have to move units towards the indian border, now we can't leave the equipment in the tribal area just to lay & rot. They have to be taken with the units & when the unit has some equipment whether from USA, UK, Europe or China, it is for the defense of the nation whether internal or external.

So first listen to the interview, instead of the Indian Media report, taking things out of the context & just using the sentences out of context for its own purpose.

Its a shame, that we don't accuse India of using the equipment bought for COIN operation & in future or later being used against Pakistan.

Plus, i don't see what equipment India is afraid of that US has given to us ?? All are small things which could be bought from anywhere.

I dont know what Mushi is trying to do, he gave another irresponsible statement today... May be just want to attract attention
:mod:He cares only about the impression it creates on Pakistanis. The idea is that it makes Pakistanis think that he is bold. Another side is creating problems for current administration, after which he can take potshots at them. Hopwever sophisticated Mushi is, he is just the same... opportunistic and power hungry.

See how patriotic he is... He did the 'right thing' for Pakistan and on top of that:taz: he is not afraid of the US. What more can an average Pakistani ask for?:cheesy::argh:

So what man. No matter what the US says, Pakistan still faces a considerable amount of threat from India and hence we strengthen our defence accordingly. If they are so bothered about their money being misused why bother giving it in the first place. Most of it goes into the pockets of dirty politicans anyways.
I have said it before and i will say it again if WOT is indeed our war like we hear all the time from our politicans then we need to fight it irrespective of whether we get aid or not in a similar fashion like we will fight against India however if this isnt our war as per Imran Khan, then aid or no aid we should quit. There is no third option.

As I said the news channel can be sued in Indian as well as International court for the same if it spreads wrong news like this in order to malign a specific person of the stature of Mushi....

And the news channel did not say that whole of the aid was used for weapons

Yes you can very well use those weapons against your agressors but the aid money is not for buying weapons at the first place. You can buy whatever you like with the money which you have dedicated in your defense budget....

War on terror cost Pakistan $35bn: FM Qureshi

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says the war against terror has cost Pakistan more than 35 billion dollars while the cost in human lives is immeasurable.

Speaking at a press conference with EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana, Qureshi said Pakistan wants aid promised by the international community to translate into reality to ameliorate the miseries of the affected people.

Talking about his meeting with Mr Solana, Qureshi said discussions were held to strengthen the strategic dialogue between the EU and Pakistan and some areas of cooperation were identified.

Solana said the EU recognises that Pakistan is going through difficult times and a number of steps are being taken to help Pakistan economically, including giving Pakistan market access to the European Union.

Solana, who is on a two day visit to Pakistan, visited the Jalozai Camp earlier in the day and was briefed on the displaced families and the issues related to their assistance.

Qureshi briefed the EU foreign policy chief on the engagement of Pakistan and India at the top level, the military operation and the phased return of the IDPs.

Mr Solana said a number of issues are on the agenda of EU's engagement with Pakistan, including terrorism. — Dawnnews

What is the total aid which is expected by Pakistan? Is it 35 b or less? When it is expected to arrive as its delay will create more chaos within Pakistan

here is another interesting read for my fellow Indian's

Jaswant Singh’s talk

THE BJP leader and former Indian foreign minister, Mr Jaswant Singh, made some assertions while speaking at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in the US (Dawn, Nov 3.)

First, that India will have to live with the fact that the US will continue to rely on Pakistan as a key ally in the war against terror. Not content with this apparent display of jealousy, he pretended that India was somehow being victimised as a consequence, by saying that the US has no other option and “therefore India would have to continue to pay a price.”

Second, that Washington must not act as an “external equaliser in South Asia but should leave the region alone.

Third, that “the US often loses interest and Pakistan on its own begins to flounder and when it flounders, there are difficulties for India.”

Finally, “One of the failures of India’s diplomacy has been its inability to manage its relations with all its neighbours,” he said, and “if I don’t admit it, then I am denying the existing reality.”

The first contention appears to reflect India’s unhappiness that soon after 9/11 the US had refused to avail New Delhi’s lightning fast offer of helping Washington in its plans to invade Afghanistan. Also, that accepting India’s, rather than Pakistan’s collaboration would have strengthened the former’s position and influence, at the cost of the latter.

The second point aims at keeping the US from involving itself in the affairs of the region, which would enable India to freely exercise its hegemony that it simply loves to do.

The third assertion regarding Pakistan’s ‘floundering’ has more to do with India’s behaviour towards this country than any other reason.

This, in reality, is the major cause of most of Pakistan’s problems. A couple of years ago the British Medical Journal (BMJ) had published a report stating that the people of India, Pakistan and other South Asian countries are in a dramatically poor health, both physically and mentally. It had made a special mention of Pakistan and said that about 34 per cent of the interviewees (and presumably, all Pakistanis) suffered from depressive disorders and anxiety, which was apparently the highest in the region.

The BMJ report considered the root cause of all this South Asian trouble to be socio-political instability, economic uncertainty, violence, regional conflicts and dislocation for the past three decades. One would add that in case of Pakistan the problems aren’t restricted to just these factors. At independence, nearly one million Muslims were massacred and nine million made refugees, whereas the corresponding figure for the Hindus was only a fraction of this.

This was followed by several wars; dismemberment of the country by India in 1971; the frightful Soviet invasion of Afghanistan when Pakistan had seemed the next target; arrival of four million Afghan refugees along with the ensuing gun and drug culture and the severe social and economic problems that caused enormous mental stress.

The single biggest stressor has been India’s constant bullying because we are only one-seventh in size and its unwillingness to accept the partition. The large defence spending necessitated by the Indian attitude and behaviour, including its nuclear status since 1974, compelled us to divert scarce resources away from health, education, poverty eradication and social welfare. Not only Pakistan but every neighbour of India has had grievances against it, which gets reflected in Mr Singh’s final remark.

As the largest country in the region, India owes it to its own poor people — who are themselves suffering, as is obvious from the BMJ report — and to its neighbours to treat everyone fairly and compassionately so that their lives can get better. To begin with, New Delhi must grant the rights of the Kashmiris and the northeastern states’ residents, the Dalits, Muslims and other minorities, which will eliminate all of the self-created militancy in India, for which it conveniently keeps blaming Pakistan.

You can take them out to target enemies no one has problems with that but you have to purchase them from your defence budget and defense spendings not from the money which is meant for welfare of your people.....

Do it............. who has stopped you :pakistan:

Increase your defense budget

Dont use aid money which is not meant for purchasing weapons Dont use that money which is for the people victimized by WOT. Dont deny them their right blaming India which just has 2 to 3 percent of its GDP invested into defense. If you guys wanna keep up with the stature start investing 10% of GDP to defense. Who stopped you?
