It may seems like that.But consider the case of Scotland.They are part of a very democratic and liberal union for 300 years.They have an overriding British common identity and they were part and parcel of global British enterprise but still secessionist tendency is strong there and it may be another one referendum away to become indepedent. This type of things may occure in India if it achieve same level of democratic evolution like UK.Disintegration may happen even for just economic dispute like that between England and Scotland.India already experiencing unequal development among the states.It may exacerbate in the future and along with different language and custom it may act as a catalyst of independence movement.

That is because ethnolinguistic identities are stronger than and can outlive political entities based on shared cultural, religious, geographic identities.

what you fail to see is, we were always like this.. the secessionist movement were more.. the division was much more acute before.(when we got independence).
People could not move around and lived in isolated islands(their own states)...

now people connect like never before due to ease of travel and communication tech.. big cities attract talents from many states and you get to know with other people all the time.
As for political aspiration, there is a reason why we made a federal structure(UK is not a federal govt, it has very lopsided structure of governance, hope they will copy us one day)... because we know from day 1, India is going to be a country of countries.
Also we are willing to compromise, govt of India did not browbeat Mamta into agreeing what they want(wrt BD). We could not even impose hindi on unwilling people. The compromise keeps people happy.
Even now we are talking to NE groups secretly, and doing some deal for them. There is no need to use a hammer all the time.
When every family member is happy, the family is happy. I dont want govt of India to rule like a dictatorial father of the family... it will be disastrous.

Whatever,but why does that dude even reply to those people? Instead he should proudly introduce them to his "ignore list" like I did.
India can overrun Bangladesh within days,but they can't do that...They need to conserve ammunition for Pakistan and China.Bangladesh is India's puppet state,and why bomb off your puppet states when you control their governments and can put the whole nation on its knees using dam gates.The worst thing - We have an agreement with our ally China that states that China will protect us from any non-Chinese ally if they attack us.

India is union of multiple culture, language and even ideologies. This is what we all are proud of and there is nothing that causes us any agony or dissatisfaction. We have some problems but peace and unity comes first.

This is what I am saying.India is a union of language,ethnicity,religion and ideology.And the natural outcome of any union is disintegration.All union disintegrate with the passage of times.Show me one union which is existing in perpetuity? If you look at the history of this sub-continent it was disunited much much longer times than united.If you look at the time frame,unity will appear to be an anomaly.There are natural,geographic factors in India which encourage fragmentation just like Europe.
