Indian disintergration is only a fantasy in the near future only a few underdeveloped areas with high secessionist acitivity probably but even if they leave it will have no effect on India and the main areas as those areas are too small and insignificant

Disintegration is not always happen with successful insurgency.A lot of disintegration also the results of democratic means.The disintegration of USSR was neither wanted by common people of the Soviet republic nor it was bloody.But it still happened.Any possible disintegration of India may take a long process of nationalistic awakening and self rule movement which will ultimately weaken the union.India in its current form is not a nation but the collection of somewhat poorly connected nations where people widely vary in ethnicity,language,customs,and religion an economic outlook.Regionalism is gaining strength in India day by day and it may lead into full fledged independence in future.

I am an admirer of federalism and dont mind regionalism even a tiny bit.. it think it makes us stronger and more vibrant...
I wont give up my identity and aquire an 'indian' identity. its not necessary... and most indians are comfortable to give each other that space... we want the union to be malleable and flexible not strong but brittle.

I know its very difficult to comprehend for people who take pride in single ethnic/language/religion status..
