Dishonesty about Indian technological development

2.8 & 2 are the same. And having a GDP per capita 2 times bigger(nominal)/ nearly 3 times bigger (PPP) isn't an achievement...any more mathematically challenged arguments ?
Both nominal and ppp, it is 2 times. Not much of an achievement for much talked about super dupar rich south India.:P

Kerala has higher.
Only slighly which is eaten away by lower figure of Andhra Pradesh.
Greater than 2.6 is now 2.5 ?
Average of 5 southern states is 2.5.Tamil Nadu is 2.57 as I calculated in previous post.Kerala might be 2.7.Have to calculate.AP is around 2.So average 5 southern would be 2.5
No one cares about your BS, doc.
Our PPP gdp estimation is under counted. There is not much doubt about it.Plus Bangladesh is using older economic base year than India which also left out some GDP calculation.

We can calculate Tamil nadu per capita PPP for 2017 by a simple mathmetical exercise.Indian per capita gdp in 2017 is 103,818 rupee and Tamil Nadu is 157,116 Rupee. In 2017, Indian per capita ppp is 7,153 USD

so, Tamil Nadu=157,116/103,818=1.513 times higher than national average.
so, PPP per capita of Tamil Nadu for 2017=1.513x7,153=10,822 USD
Bangladesh ppp per capita in 2017=4,207 USD
so,Tamil Nadu/Bangladesh=2.57, so it is slightly decreased from previous 2.6.But you are projecting to climb at 2.8.
Both Indian and BD per capita ppp is taken from IMF World economic outlook April, 2017 databank.

As someone has already said, when they can't boast they would ask for figures in PPP.

They say South India is more developed but make no mistake it's no different then the rest of the shithole they call India. Here is some comment from a tourist travelling in Tamil Nadu,

Unhygienic and disgusting Indian Railways

Bored with domestic flights I decided to book a train to enjoy the sightseeing on countryside, township and settlements along the train track on my recent trip to Ahmadabad in August 2013 from Chennai was a WRONG IDEA!

Going through their rules, terms and conditions online, particularly with penalties failing to produce original identities, misleads you that their service is excellent, disappointingly only to protect their self interest.

INDIAN RAILWAYS, boast the premier transport organization of the country is the largest rail network in Asia and the world's second largest under one management.

But the ONE MANAGEMENT failed to notice the unhygienic condition of the compartments, worst toi*lets and food served to the public who pay quite a sum and suffers the lack of basic needs on long journeys in the train with tolerance, having infants to face the foul after half a century the British leaving their fair administration to India.

It is painful to see Railway laborers working on the tracks for a living knowing the track is full of human waste. India claims having considerable high technologies but no effort taken or couldn’t think of a way on the lavatory systems improved!

The government failed to realize that imposing consistent practice of awareness to the public will make one realize not to abuse facilities in time to come. Even the tribesmen in Baroda have changed their lifestyle walking around with jeans and cooling glasses, why not the train??

The media should show more awareness of hygiene, cleanliness and the usage of public toi*lets with concern, instead of broadcasting spendthrift advertisements on media on luxury homes and lifestyle which doesn’t reach the average and below citizens.

Conversation with the local people in my compartment reveals the Indian Railway takes no interest of their complaint of the facilities expected, instead the blame game goes back to the public for not using the toi*lets without concern.

The compartments are very old. It has not been refurbished time to time. The window panels are dusty. The cleaners just flip with a wiper just for the sake of cleaning at every few stations when the train stops. Forget about the idea of sightseeing views.

Online booking confirms and blocks the available seats and I had to board the 3 tier A/C compartment for Rs3,282/- return fare, can you imagine the no A/C compartments!

Toi*lets basically are unhygienic and disgusting in all compartments. You have no choice when the need arise to use the running train. Though it is expected to be cleaned at every other station, but the cleaners just flush out water and fill the tanks. It has not been brushed nor anti detergent applied for ages and it’s unbearable! The attached toi*lets are run down.

The canteen team and their uniform stinks, the utensils used for serving beverages are dirty and worn out, you would rather starve the journey if you don’t pack food for the journey. The locals bring their own food knowing the bad services. The authorities should ensure that staffs are educated on the awareness of cleanliness serving the public. The canteen itself is filthy and unclean which reflects the lack of responsibility of the concerned department to monitor the services for the public and tourist

I suffered urinary tract infection immediately after my train journey. Wonder how many thousand commuters have suffered the same in silence with the despicable Indian Railway Management’s only motive is to enrich providing the public with its second largest transportation in the World!

Second largest for the public and tourist adventures but not the second best in the World when come to comfort and hygiene!!

South India only look good if you compare them with North India. It is like one wagon load of cow dung(holy) vs two wagon load of cow dung(holy):P

North, south, east, west no side of India can be compared with other civilized country.Just you can't compare either front side or back side of a cow with a human.

Pretty neatly said bhai.

Compare your state with Bihar, and you are designated as 'developed'! They have their own weird benchmarks for everything.

As somebody pretty aptly said, Al Cowda Indians!

Truly Indian have a yardstick! Even Nepalis are fed up with all those illegal Bihari doing cooligiri in the street of Kathmandu. Nepal is the 2nd poorest country in Asia after Afghanistan. That give you an idea of Indian yardstick with which they compare themselves and feel rich.

I am not sure which train he got onto, but from my own experience from travelling extensively over the last seventeen years, my experience with Indian rail has been pretty good, especially the ones with Rajdhani, shatabdi and Duranto express. Indian railways is certainly not the best one in the world, but it is not as bad as this traveller depicts it to be. Not even close.

No one cares about your BS. And India's base year will be updated in 2017-18.

North, south, east, west no side of India can be compared with other civilized country.

Is that civilized country, Bangladesh ?

As someone has already said, when they can't boast they would ask for figures in PPP.

AS if having 2X your nominal GDP per capita isn't enough for boasting....And far better human development index, industrial infrastructure, R&D and educational institutions.I can go on and on...

Compare your state with Bihar, and you are designated as 'developed'!

Apparently the only people who does that are Bangladeshis... Search for the keyword 'Bihar' in this subforum & you'll know...

Only slighly which is eaten away by lower figure of Andhra Pradesh.

2.7 times, only slightly higher...

They say South India is more developed but make no mistake it's no different then the rest of the shithole they call India.

Lovely, another typical Bangladeshi blunder. It talks about an Indian railway train, how is it related to in Tamil Nadu ? As for waste mnanagement, we are installing bio digester toilets

More than 49,000 bio-toilets have been installed by Indian Railways in passenger coaches till 31.10.2016. They are aiming to fit them on every coach by 2019.

And no prices for guessing how Bangla-daesh handles the waste on trains....

Truly Indian have a yardstick! Even Nepalis are fed up with all those illegal Bihari doing cooligiri in the street of Kathmandu.

Quite rich, coming from Bangladeshis. Here is UN dispelling the myth of zero Bangladeshi illegal immigrants in India...

In 2013, persons from Bangladesh residing in India constituted the single largest “bilateral stock” of international migrants in the South (3.2 million).

You have misunderstood my reply.I said only slightly higher south Indian average. These is not much difference between 2.5 or 2.7

There is a large difference between 1 & 2.5/2.7, if you know what I mean....

@gslv mk3 you are such an epic troll hunter that we have decided to name our latest heavy lifter rocket in your honour:)

I'm honoured....:yay:

but from my own experience from travelling extensively over the last seventeen years, my experience with Indian rail has been pretty good, especially the ones with Rajdhani, shatabdi and Duranto express.

Actually there are several good options, especially with AC 3 tier...
