Good decision. You don't need to waste time with these idiots. Good riddance!
These guys seem to float the idea that India is such a tour-de-force with machine tools manufacturing.
The reality is, their local low quality mfrs. had a great time until markets opened up to Chinese NC controlled lathe market, then the bottom fell out of their local market.
Companies located in Rajkot which was the primary hub and center of their non- numerical control (semi automatic) machine tools manufacturing started dropping off like flies in the last five years because of lackluster sales. Their costs are too high and they can't compete against cheaper and more modern Chinese lathes. The only ones surviving are HMT which is a govt. concern (assured markets in defence and some other sectors), as well as larger brands such as Widia which can absorb losses for a while.

Their hopes of exports are a pipe dream in the mid price mid precision NC category because of strong competition from China. They simply can't match the advanced design, vertical integration advantages, scale or efficiency of Chinese machine tools mfrs in the NC controlled or even NON-NC segments. In high precision category, Indian companies have minimal offerings anyhow, they haven't 'absorbed overseas technology' yet.
Indian NC machine tools industry has a slew of problems compared to Chinese brands such as poor quality and finish of precision surfaces, lack of performance and reliability (high rate of breakdown or low MTBF), inconsistency in accuracy, poor process capabilities, leakage of hydraulics, poor optics and aesthetics, lack of safety features, failure of electric and electronic parts and poor after-sales service.
These are the reasons Indian machine tools products have typically found it tough to find export markets. At this time, their share is roughly 1.5% of world markets, which is a goddamn speck.
Yet their boast of this industry is infinite by these lying Madrasi trolls.
We have only one request, tell your Madrasi trolls to stop lying. The world is watching and shaming you when you lie.
See, some people have simply no shame. The other day, we were stuck in a traffic jam when a street beggar came to our car asking for alms. He had a well-built body with no disability so my father asked why doesn't he work instead of begging. That beggar was simply smiling and just went to another car to beg. Don't expect these Madrasi trolls to stop posting these blatant lies even after being exposed in this thread.
