Five army officers in Bangladesh have been sentenced to five years in prison by a court martial for plotting a bombing attempt in October 2009 to kill lawmaker Fazle Noor Taposh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s nephew. The officers ( Commando ) are Major Helal, Capt Rezaul Karim, Capt Rajib, Capt Fuad and Capt Subayel Ibne Rafique.
Major Helal, one of the finest officer in the corps of Infantry. He is a Commando and a master jumper. He is also a staff college graduate. He has performed holy hajj twice. Major Helal was in Teknaf BDR in 25 feb 2009. He could able to escape from the bullet of BDR troops by the grace of Allah with his wife. He raised his voice in shenakunja by narrating his experience.
Capt subayel was frm EME core. He was very skillfull & performed the best in his basic & other courses. Capt subayel was G3 of savar cantt during 1/11, then he was sent to MIST, there he proved his brilliance / excellence in study as he stood first in eece-5 batch in 1st & 2nd year & obtained GPA 4 out of 4 in his last exam. After the pillkhana incident, he was posted to BDR & passed 4 months in panchary. In september, surprisingly Capt subayel was transfered to pilkhana as staff capt. admin. In novembr, he was selected as acting ADC to DG BDR.
Capt Reza was in Rab-3. He has arrested many BDR troops after BDR mutiny.Capt Reza performed holy hajj. Capt Reza is from infantry.
Capt Razib, Capt Fuad are from engineers. All these officers are Commando. They are one of the best…..
