I have seen some Pakistani television programmes and found they told allah hafiz everytime no Khuda hafiz ? Why ?

Similarly no 'Adaab' but khair-makdam etc.

What is problem with Khuda hafiz and adaab ?

.
Both have same meanings .
Khuda ( Persian )= GOD
Allah ( Arabic ) = GOD

Muslims cannot say Assalam-i-Alikum to Non-Muslims but Islam only allows to call Assalam .
Adaab word is a good replacement i think so may be Adaab word is more common in India than Pakistan .. thats my point of view .

. .
As I learned from somebody, Khuda Hafiz is what Persians use...it is a more broad term which can be used for any religion and for any God a person might have, while Allah Hafiz is more specific to Muslims since Allah Almighty is believed upon only by Muslims.

. .
Khuda is Persian word for God, and Allah is Arabic word for God. Hafiz means protect.

In Pakistan , both Allah Hafiz and Khuda Hafiz are used when you want to say good bye to someone.

It means God Protect

why is that ?

Adaab is so cheesy and last century... I guess...

.
why is that ?

Adaab is deprecated in Pakistani Urdu

Khuda Hafiz is Persian - in 80s when we purified Islamic Republic we replaced it with Allah Hafiz - however Khuda Hafiz is still being used

.
I find allah hafiz more in your face... and khuda hafiz more calm and gentle way...

. . .
They are used in BD as well :D

Both are basically the same.

This is correct!

Allah is personal name of God.... in Islamic belief.

Purified, Islamic Republic of Iran didn't like to use Allah.

Yes... basically the same!

What the hell is khair makdam....i dont think I have ever heard anyone saying it. As for adaab it kind of seems outdated. Adaab is a plural for adub which means respect and we use that in sentences.

I knew flag under my avatar will attract someone. :smitten:

Anyway - their logic of using & writing this is that you can safely use it irrespective of religion of other person - they also don't right Bismiallah but use Bism-e-Tala to avoid disrespect in case document is dropped on ground or in trash. Any other question? :coffee:

Well Khuda is a Broad term can be use by any belief/releigon for their GOD. While ALLLAH is a Name of GOD/Khuda of muslims as belief by Muslims and it is specifically used by muslims only. on other way KHUDA is not name of ALLAH its just term for most superior or most powerfull one.

Khuda hafiz is a basically term used in persian culture as in urdu we used ALLAH HAFIZ most commonly. well we dont use Adaab as far as i know adaab is used when u r welcoming some1.
