What we should do is trade-wise and tourism-wise bring things on an even keel with Pakistan, instead of awarding it all to India.

We should also make room for more Pakistani experts in the Textile industry to come in and train our folks. And of course defence sector included.

So yes for this realistic view Quader get my honor. But the question is , will he be the chief of AL after Hasina? He is already 68 years old and lost his past form after his surgery.

Biden is seeking his election at the age of 77 as the President of the USA. Age is no issue if someone is not senile or crippled. Obaidul Quader has diabetes and had most probably an open heart surgery in which a few ruined veins/arteries in his heart may have been replaced with veins taken from legs and/or arms without which a person can live on.

Now, his heart arteries are as young as a 30 year old man. However, he must be on medicine and be without sugary Sweetmeats. Allah wishes he would survive another 25 years.

The thing is he is very serious and forces people to work. However, he needs to create systems if he is the next PM. In normal countries, systems propel the bureaucrats to work. Unfortunately, we work under pressure from personalities which is bad to develop the country.

Thanks for bringing up the most important point. There are two ways, change of personnel and change of systems. We desperately need a fair system. All these politicians are driven by greed of ruling forever and a term limit wud put an end to that. If they change to a presidential system then the president shud only be able to serve the maximum of two consecutive terms.

Our system of democratic governance is the worst on the planet. The Presidential system with term limit like in America is so much better. Even if theY don’t change to A presidential system, the amount of time a politician can serve as prime minister must be limited to only a period.

I agree with Dalal er ma Nodi that BNP Hierarchy must distance itself from the Zia’s. Because the Zia’s are holding them off by being in a position of weakness. They are not willing to make any personal sacrifices, so those that are willing to i.e Fakhrul can’t do anything but watch. The Zia family are like 50 yr old farmers on the front lines of a battle who are holding off the better fighters by being a burden on them.

One guy claims to be a leader while hiding A continent away in the UK. The other is in Jail cuz she made the wrong choice of listening to her dumb son who asked her Not to contest the election when she shud have. What a bunch of morons. But here is a problem , if you decide to let one president only two times , then the problem won't be solved , if we really want a dictator who will rule with iron fist . If you only let him rule two time , then the problem would remain same IMO . I believe democracy is not for us . And also parliamentary system only make the ruler more or less dependent to party goons for parliamentary seats .

So a ruthless president can work better and can suppress political goons effectively , as even in eye wash you will need much less back up from your political party , since a president will be directly elected .
