Good! I am amazed to see however that China fell back to 6%.
These things change all the time it seems. Couple of months later - different story...
CNN probably just averages projections from various other sources...hence the constant changing as more "forecasts" are released.
World Bank and IMF have the hard consistent data that I would trust somewhat more, but even they can be quite conservative. Also they actually have professional econometric researchers/developers unlike CNN which is just a newsgroup.
It is not impossible for India and Bangladesh to be growing more than 8 or 9 % + range in the coming years. I mean look at the growth that China has been able to achieve in the past.
China growth is falling because they are so much bigger now, its literally impossible to grow at the rates before as the economy gets closer to its LRAS and fewer unexploited resources at given tech level are available.
The big issue with them is regarding whether the overcapacity will hurt them and whether the various bubbles can be deflated smoothly rather than suddenly in the next 10 or so years....because they have been super heavy into construction just to keep employment up.
