Dhaka Seeks Transit to Pakistan via India

Non taken.

Actually what you say about illegal Bangladeshi immigrants is true. I don't know why this issue, along with other important issues are falling on deaf ears in Bangladesh.

i support trade and increased commerce between Bangladesh and Pakistan, if we increase volume of trade i'm sure both Pakistan and Bangladesh will benefit economically. Both of our countries have a lot of offer to each other through trade and as of now that should be the focus of our governments.

So Bangladeshi prefer Pakistan and some BD members think Bangladesh is a much better place than India. Common, just because it is PDF you don't have to agree to Pakistani but not acknowledge the illegal migrants in India.
Hypocrisy.

Trade happens when there is a difference in internal produce and the demand. Added to that transport adds cost to the product being traded. If goods are shipped in a round about fashion, the cost of the product goes up leaving little for trade.

It would be good for all three countries but India would need americas permission. For example even though it would have been beneficial to india pakistan and iran India has bowed to american wishes not go through with oil/gas pipeline. Suppose we will have to wait till China/pakistan get all their Indian occupied territories back maybe then a route from bangladesh to pakistan could be sorted out without permission from our former colonial masters and their allies uk,usa etc.

Mate, think before you get into a fist fight with others.

Read post numbers 265 and 274:

Just because other Bangladeshis have one view, doesn't mean all Bangladeshis agree with them. Try not to paint others with a broad brush ;)

@ How can we develop a good relation and promote trade with Pakistan ? You are out of reach. " Dilki baat dil mei reh jati hai".

@ It had been seen when ever we tried to come close with Pakistan something abnormal happens in Bangladesh. In 1980, we almost came close with Pakistan and many of our defence structure upgraded with the help of Pakistan but then what ? General Zia was killed !!! Old people says it was due to the instigation of RAW that Zia was killed.

@ Then General Ershad came to power and many development took places during his tenure. Our Airforce deeloped a lot from the rudimentary stage. We almost had more than 100 aircrafts. Many of them specially A-5 and F-6 squadrens were equipped by the Pakistan but than a public agitation started against ERshad and he was over thrown. During the last days of Ershad he used to say that it was the act of neibhour countries. Can you believe it many student/terrors of Bangldeah who were stationed at Calcutta came to Dhaka univercity with arms and agravated the situation which hastened the fall of Ershad. BNP always claimed that the fall of Ershad was due to the continous struggle of BNP ? But this is completely wrong. Yes it helped the situation but the joint plan was made by invisible man. That is why once Sk Hasina before the general election 1991 went to West Bengal and there she said in front of press, "If election is held free and fair BNP will not even get more than 10 seats in the parliament".

My knowledge regarding this particular issue (Pakistan's relations vis a vis Bangladesh post 1971) is limited so forgive me for any mistakes. Our countries do not have to be within reach in order to develop good relations, we can start off by promoting a good image of our countries, we can cooperate in certain field like defence and promote people to people contact on the higher level.

^^^My knowledge regarding this is limited so i can't really say much other than that whatever happened in the past was gods will and we should leave it at that and just hope for a better future.

Same problem with INDIA....regarding illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. Is it really draining our resources and increasing the crime. No offense..

Never particularly denied that. Check sources on post #80.

And some Indian member think India is much better place than BD...:undecided:

HOw is it draining your resouces? We havent received a single penny from India. But in the other hand a lot of BD thinks Hindus in BD makes money here and build houses in Calcutta. Thats why, they enacted a law called Vested Property act even though I dont support it.

I don't support this Transit deal and neither should any other Pakistani. Pakistan already has a considerable illegal Bangali population in Karachi and the last thing we need is more illegal's pouring into Pakistan by the thousands. We already have around 2 million illegal Bangalis and add to that the 4-5 million Afghan refuges, more illegal immigrants are only going to strain our economy, increase the burden on the infrastructure of our cities and add to the pollution.

I apologize if i offended any Bangalis but this is the reality.

Well I did not know Bengalis in Karachi are considered as refugee. They were there since the time of British. Arent they Pakistani citizen?
To assure you that no Bangladeshi will opt for Pakistan as I speak now. There are plenty of Pakistani working in Bangladesh infact a whole bunch.

Current Bangladeshi goverment is not serous about this transit. La-Hasina's government is not interested to establish good relation with Muslim nations. She doesn't even care about Saudi Arabia and she hate Pakistan anyway. This government entirely dedicated to please Bharat. This is it. So forget about transit for now. I hope coward of BNP learning from this.
