Dhaka overtakes Karachi on "Liveability Index 2022"

Shalwar Kameez is a Central Asia, Afghanistan and Westerly Pakistan dress which spread into Punjab in middle of last century. Then after 1980s Indians and BD people also appropriated it. In UK every Bengali or Gujji female I saw as late as early 1980s wore Sari. Only some Indian Sikhs used Shalwar Kameez although often shalwar part was tight. Post 2000s this dress has been appropriated by all of India and BD.

@Sher Shah Awan

Same experience, until very recently, only Afghans and Pakistanis (of all ethnicities) wore the Shalwar Kameez in the UK. Unfortunately, some young Pakistani have started to switch to the Jubba , which I don't understand at all. It is not a religious requirement and it certainly isn't more comfortable than Shalwar Kameez. Just a "hip" thing to do for younglings trying to flash their religious credentials. But we're careering in to a completely different topic there...

The most amazing thing about Dhaka is the traffic congestion & low average speeds there, especially when the city has such a small population of motor vehicles.

It takes a special level of incompetence to eff things up, I guess.
