کراچی… پیر کے روز کراچی ائیرپورٹ سے حراست میں لیا گیا امریکی شہری ایف بی آئی کا ایجنٹ نکلا۔ امریکی حکام کے مطابق جیول مقامی پولیس کی ٹریننگ کیلئے پاکستان کے دورہ پر ہے اور اس کے بیگ میں گولیاں غلطی سے رہ گئی تھیں۔ کراچی سے اسلام آباد جاتے ہوئے حراست میں لیا گیا امریکی شہری فیڈرل بیورو آف انویسٹی گیشن کا ایجنٹ نکلا۔ یہ انکشاف کیا امریکی قانون نافذکرنے والے حکام نے جن کے مطابق ان کے ملک کا شہری پاکستان میں مقامی پولیس کو ٹریننگ دینے کے لیے گیا تھا۔ امریکی میڈیا کی رپورٹ کے مطابق حکام کاکہنا ہے کہ امریکی مسافر جیول کے قبضے میں نائن ایم ایم کی گولیاں دراصل غلطی یا بے دھیانی سے رہ گئی تھیں۔ امریکی دفترخارجہ کے حکام کا کہنا ہے کہ ان کے سفارتکار پاکستانی حکام سے رابطے میں ہیں تاکہ جلد از جلد امریکی شہری کی رہائی ممکن بنائی جاسکے۔ حکام کا کہنا ہے کہ انہیں امید ہے کہ اس ایف بی آئی ایجنٹ کی رہائی 2011 میں ریمنڈ ڈیوس کے مقابلے میں کافی آسان ہوگی۔ دوسری جانب ایئرپورٹ پولیس نے آرمز آرڈیننس کے تحت ملزم کیخلاف مقدمہ درج کرکے جوڈیشل مجسٹریٹ ملیر کی عدالت میں پیش کیا، جہاں عدالت نے ملزم کو10 مئی تک پولیس کی تحویل میں دے دیا ہے۔

They have been working together since the 60's. Govts come and go on both sides but their dealings happen in a historic setting, so its business as usual.

This bloke will be set free. Word has it that he was here to help in an investigation and to train the police. He had a loaded 9mm mag in his luggage.

Americans should be given an exemption because they carry guns as an everyday thing.

It depends on which agency he was working with in Pakistan. In any case, Pakistan should follow proper procedures in dealing with this case according to the law.

some misunderstanding on Agent's part. he might not have thought much about the ammo mag. its clearly a civilian matter and nothing serious.

I feel bad for the guy, here he was in Pakistan helping with investigation and upon his departure he had to face this. I dont think he was here on anything sinister like RD.

then again law is same for all be it Pakistani generals or Indian diplomats they all had to face the American immigration staff.

hopefully as per Pakistani "law" he will be dealt accordingly (that is freed, apologized and sent home in next flight)
