Just one question, why does not the Arjun MK1 use sloped armor to increase effective armor thickness ???
This is not a secret since WW2....

DRDO did do an early prototype model with sloped armor for MK1 but Indian manufacturing capability is subpar and cannot build real sloped armor plate. Straight vertical armor is very basic to build and that's what India was capable of.

And here comes the sub-par troll with his substandard mentality....

Sloped Armour deflects shots but reduces internal space and also can actually be heavier because of the greater area due to slope.

I believe what we see here is Arjun with sloped armour , Kanchan armor to be exact..i think

Awesome!! For sure the IA needs to order much more than 124 MK-2s, more like 5-600++.

There is a strong lobby inside the Indian army...hence they went for the T-90...but trials in deserts have proved that Arjun-MK2 was better than the T-90's in all aspect. I hope IA gets out of the grove and try to adapt themselves with Indian products.

Yes sloped armor increases the chance of shell deflection but the main advantage is that it increases armor thickness.

Oh so this guy is a troll. Figures...he always has some crap to spew. I was wondering if he was Indian. I guess not. Trying to squash my input so we don;t think of various scenarios. F-k him

here comes the pakistani troller ......."maan na maan, mein tera mehmaan"

LOL." Sachi Baat hamesha karvi lagti hain." Arjunk tank was so bad that the Indian army rejected it for T-90 tanks, while we are selling our Al-Khalid tanks to other countries.
But all my wishes for Arjunk tank. I really do hope the govt forces the Indian army to use the Arjunk tank. It will make our job easier, not that we really need it.

Do you have anything to contribute beside garbage? Did you know DRDO had an early prototype with slope armor? No? Then shut the fukc up.

The Indian Kanchan armour offers the best protection in the vertical arrangement and thats why Arjun Mk1 had vertical armour . However,Mk2 will have vertical Kanchan + slopped ERA blocks, which is seen in pics.

LOL. The Indian army rejected this arJUNK tank. But yes by all means force it on the Indian army to use the junk tank.
